We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Harbour and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor for me has been keeping true to my values. I named my studio Beautifully You because I believe making women feel beautiful in their own skin is such a fulfilling experience for both my client and myself. In a world that is constantly telling women that they are not enough or they are too much, I think it is vital that my clients have a place and time where they get to feel fabulous for who they are!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a total hair nerd! I live for the science behind all of the chemical changes that happen during the coloring process. Altering someone’s hair color requires a strong fundamental knowledge of how colors effect and interact with each other. Being a colorist is a true intersecting point of where science meets art and hair is my canvas!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Weatherford is rapidly growing but has been able to hold on to its sense of community and small town charm. We have a plethora of small businesses, and those are my favorite. A week here can be spent shopping at a numerous amount of boutiques such as Hope, The Junction, All the Right Junk, and Retrospection. We have some great local restaurants! Some of my favorites are Bourbon and Branch, Antebellum’s Ale House, Fire Oak Grill, and Shep’s Place. All of which also have delicious craft cocktails. Parker county is the host to several big community events. In my opinion, the best ones are the Peach Festival, Christmas on the Square, and First Monday trade days.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I could not have this career that I love so much without the loyalty and support of all of my clients. The client/stylist relationship goes so far beyond a business transaction. We have laughed, cried, mourned, and celebrated together. Having these women join me on this journey has been a blessing. I am honored to also have the support of my husband, family, and friends. Without them, I would not have been able to accomplish the growth and success of my business. They have been my backbone and encouragers along this journey.
