We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittani Youman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittani, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Deciding to pursue entrepreneurship was a process riddled by fear and doubt in the initial stages. In 2020, I was a recent laid-off “corporate star” as some would say, however my popularity was not enough to save my position. Having the understanding that I was expendable highlighted the apparent reality that entrepreneurship was the only way that I would be able to create my own security. My safety net was removed, and I was free-falling to my new life and destiny. I finally made the decision to commit to changing my life and the lives of others through the information and access that I would gain along my journey.
Honey Music has become a global brand in a short time because our power lies in the connections we develop, the lives we impact, and the strength of collaboration. I would have never dreamed that I would have a team of creatives in several continents and would have the privilege of collaborating with incredible artists and musicians from Africa, Europe, South America, and North America. My thought process as the founder and CEO was to create a space where others are able to find freedom and independence for themselves. That independence will allow them to explore creativity without boundaries and pursue wealth in the process. Our hope is that Honey Music is the platform that independent artists, entrepreneurs, world travelers, and dreamers find as a home for access to education, marketing, travel, musical collaborations, and so much more.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Honey Music LLC is an international corporation based in Desoto, Texas that was established in June 2020 by founder and CEO, Brittani Youman, also known as the artist “HONE7,” pronounced “Honey” or “Honey 7” in some spaces. Honey Music has worked with artists and entrepreneurs in USA, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Germany, The Netherlands, and Brazil. The music we have created has allowed us to become a global brand. We are now three-time international award winning in music and business in Ghana, Africa which has only been a testament to the hard working creatives with whom Honey Music collaborates. We are a collective of independent artists and entrepreneurs who have high pursuits in our dreams and goals.
Honey Music allows us to have a platform in which we can grow together in several industries, rather than being alone in our growth. What sets us apart is our global reach, our individual talents and accomplishments, and our love to see others win. We have only become the brand we are today because of our fans, the individuals with whom we work, and the drive to actualize our dreams.
We are most excited about our ability to connect individuals from various places in the world through music and travel. We have the access to help others connect with places they have only dreamed of seeing. Honey Music hopes to be the bridge in various industries, not just music. We offer music business education, artist development, travel, music, marketing, and merchandise.
Our journey has been challenging at times as we have had to establish clear boundaries and contractual agreements with partners who may or may not have delivered on their promises. The way we have overcome our challenges has been to establish clear goals, boundaries, and our exclusivity as an elite global brand. We know that not everyone is for us and we are not for everyone. Our goal is to be here for those who understand our value, and to establish long-lasting connections with our partners and clients. We have learned to be more assertive in our needs and expectations as a brand and what we hope to see from our partners. We want people to know that while our company is young, we are mighty. Our diversity in leadership, thought, and creativity is our strong-suit. We will continue to climb, even once we are a household name.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Now let’s get to my favorite spots in DFW.
DFW is known for having amazing food and entertainment. I would suggest visiting various neighborhoods within the area to explore all that we have to offer.
If you would like to have a beautiful view of Downtown Dallas, I would suggest visiting these three rooftop restaurants: Statler Hotel, Sky Blossom, and Reunion Tower.
If you like live music, you will want to visit Deep Ellum or Bishop Arts District in Dallas or Texas Live! in Arlington. Each of these places offer some of the best live bands in the state of Texas.
Trinity Groves and Klyde Warren Park offer amazing outdoor activities between the restaurants, food trucks, and views that they offer.
Fort Worth has the renowned Stockyards and Sundance Square that are great for family activities and photo shoots! I also love the Laundromat speakeasy, which is a great adventure to pursue.
Lastly, the Perot Museum, Holocaust Museum, Dallas Museum of Arts, and the JFK Museum are some of my favorite places to go for an educational experience.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
