Meet Bridgette Horak | Licensed Massage Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridgette Horak and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bridgette, how do you define success?
Success is always evolving for me, but ultimately, it’s making sure that I’m happy and that I’m making a positive difference in the lives of my clients. Success is also doing the work that I love to do, helping others with my work, having fun, and living authentically.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
BH Bodywork is a private manual therapy practice that offers many different massage modalities. Because of my dedication to offer the best results, I take as many continuing education classes that I possibly can. I also stay up-to-date on the best products and equipment and try to supply my practice with those things, as well!
BH Bodywork was started just a few months before the pandemic. It wasn’t easy to get it up and running, but with a lot of time dedicated to social media marketing and advertising, and word of mouth, it’s really taken off to where I want to be.
The best thing that I could have done for my business was to be as transparent as possible about what I do through my Instagram and Facebook videos. Demonstrating massage techniques through videos really brought more clients through the door, and I only wish that I had done it sooner.
I want the community to know that at BH Bodywork you’re going to get consistent care through results-driven massage therapy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m an animal lover, so a visit to the Dallas World Aquarium is always on the itinerary. ShangriLlama is another place I’ve always wanted to go! Some of my favorite restaurants are Monkey King Noodle Company, Piñeda’s, and Villa Vinci. My favorite place for cocktails is HG Supply Co.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentor, Emma Anderson, has been a licensed massage therapist for almost 30 years. I know everything I know because of her – from the ins and outs of running a business to just about all of my techniques!
