We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Woods and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe risk taking has played an important part in my life because without risks you avoid growth. Creating something you put your heart and soul into and then sending it out into the world can be scary but I’ve learned not to look at it from a consumers point of view. I’m a creator and if I put something out it’s because I’m proud of it and confident in the product. I believe everyone should take risks, no one worth mentioning has ever played it safe. Let your light shine, life is short!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a caterer and I specialize in intimate dinners & personal events. Most recently I was in an accident but conveniently right after I launched my custom herb mixes and infused oils. While being on bed rest for over 3 months I took time during my recovery to perfect new products & restock my collection to stay connected with all of my supporters. Although it’s tough not being able to work and create on the level I was before I’ve made it a priority to push through my struggles and stay committed to my brand. I’ve learned that if you want something bad enough nothing can keep you from it, your drive is what determines your level of personal success. I want everyone to know I’m committed to my brand and in love with creating delicious products everyone can enjoy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend that came to hangout with me we most definitely would have to make it a mission to shut the city down! I would start with drinks at XOXO dining room for cute pics before the real party starts. Hit the strip in deep Ellum, bar hop until close. Al pastor tacos at Fuel city with all the fixings & then end the night like a real local at the strip club. XTC or Oynx!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I most definitely would not have made it this far without the support of all of my family & friends, clients and anyone who’s taken the time out to mention my business. I get an overwhelming amount of love and support, it keeps me consistent and always thinking of new ways to connect with my people.
