We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianda Summers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brianda, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk-taking has proved to me that whatever I might have imagined being the outcome was so far-fetched from what actually might happen. Risk has empowered me to be more grounded in believing in myself and having faith. Risk is a chance to grow and show up for yourself on another level. Without risks, I would still be working as a server. Living with a limited mind state. Dreading having to get up and go to a job that didn’t value who I am. Being drained day after day. Without me taking that risk I wouldn’t be living my truth now.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an Intuitive Henna and Jagua Artist, I focus on the intention behind each design. Bringing each client an individualized grounding experience. I create an intuitive henna paste with different oils and crystals for different healing needs. I desire to educate my community and others of these healing plants, and their many uses. They are not just used to do beautiful intricate designs but also to heal and set intentions with them. As I am striving to reach all of my goals I find that having an execution plan is needed. As well as being consistent with my work and holding myself accountable. I have learned that I have to have a structure, being a business owner. I want the world to know that you have to have faith and you have to believe in the light in you. You have to take that leap. I am here to empower myself and others.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
oh yes this is fun. I would take them out to check out Stock Yards in fort worth . We would explore the Dallas art Museum. At night we would go and check out down town fort worth and this place called the yard. For food we would have to check out Planted in fort worth which is a vegan bakery with delicious treats.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge shout out to my rock and best friend, My husband Andrew has been my number one supporter. Though out every transition we have made in our almost 10 years together. He has been there keeping me level-headed and grounded. I also give gratitude to God. I know that I would not be where I am today without that inner guidance.
