We had the good fortune of connecting with Brennen Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brennen, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
Choosing myself man, that was the hardest thing I ever had to do. But I’ve learned that the biggest part of success is truly knowing who you are. Once you figure that out, everything else starts to make sense who you’re called to, what you’re meant for, and most importantly, why. And that “why” changes everything.

For so long, I put everyone else first. But choosing Brennen? That was different. That was necessary. Because sometimes, choosing yourself means disappointing the ones you love most. And that’s the price of growth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I’m most proud of isn’t just my resilience or diligence it’s the way I’m always ahead of myself, like my future self is constantly leaving breadcrumbs for me to follow. I never run out of ideas. Ever. It’s like the moment one comes, another one is already lined up, waiting. That kind of creative flow? It humbles me. It’s wild to dream, manifest, and then actually watch it all unfold right in front of me.

So, boom I launched my new clothing line, All Is Well, and people are loving it. Jazmine Sullivan and Tia Mowry? Wearing it. That hit different. At the same time, I’m rolling out new music and just opened a content creator studio for people like me creatives, visionaries, dreamers who just need the right space to build. It’s crazy watching it all come together, but here’s the thing: I didn’t do it alone.

God sent people..people who saw something in me, who became doors to my next level. I tell my mentees all the time: people are doors. Be careful how you treat strangers because sometimes they’re the angels sent to guide you to your next breakthrough. The right people saw my greatness before I even saw it in myself, and they invested in me. The rest? That became the dream story.

Truthfully, it was never supposed to be hard. I made it hard. I let my own disbelief slow me down. Once I got over myself..really got over myself I saw how simple success actually is. Most of the obstacles we face? They’re just reflections of the things we haven’t healed yet. And you only recognize that when you’re truly one with yourself.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Charity starts at home and spreads abroad. If your home your foundation is solid, everything else aligns. And listening? Really listening? That changed everything. Some of my greatest ideas came from just listening. I see with my ears. Every time I truly listened, I saw a new perspective, another lesson, another idea. My biggest ideas didn’t come from forcing things they came from being still, being present, and paying attention.

And yeah, my brand is dope. But the real impact? It’s not just in the clothes, the music, or the businesses I built. It’s in showing people that they can too. When they see me, they’re really seeing the version of themselves they always knew they could be. Seeing me is seeing them.

I made a promise to God: If You make me bigger, I’ll use my success and hire others to do their biggest dreams. That might not make sense to a “boss,” but it makes perfect sense to a leader.

I want people to say, I found me by following Brennen. It’s deeper than my brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Yo, alright, buckle up because this adventure is about to get wild! First stop: Roots Southern Table for a reservation trust me, their redfish is out of this world! I live for good food, so the entire itinerary is packed with flavor! For breakfast, we’re heading to Cafe Garden it’s like brunch in a garden paradise, pure magic. After that, we’re hitting up some art museums to dive into the culture, chatting design and all that good stuff. As a designer, you know I’m all about those hidden boutiques, so we’ll be scoping out the best spots. Highland Park Village? Absolutely. NorthPark? You know it.

But wait, we’re not stopping there. THE FOOD KEEPS GOING!!! I’m taking you on a food journey through Dallas! Ronnie’s Catfish, Hall’s, Henderson’s, Wingfield’s, Griff’s, Rudy’s were tasting the soul of the city. Oh, and we’re going to a place where you get to make your own perfume talk about an adventure for the senses. I love good smells! And trust, I’m all about bowling, so we’ll definitely hit up the lanes. A spa day? Oh, it’s happening. I’ll also introduce you to the epic water show in Grand Prairie it’s a vibe. We’re wrapping it all up with a walk through love bear Walk Park, soaking in the endless fun. I mean, it’s going to be a dream!

It all depends on the person though.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Reflecting on my journey, I realize that several people have been instrumental in shaping who I am today. My parents and grandmother were the first to teach me love, which in turn helped me love myself. Their unwavering support and belief in me laid the foundation for my self-discovery.

Additionally, my Aunt Janice, Aunt Barbara, and Uncle Clifton have been pivotal in my development. Observing their self-assuredness and the remarkable contributions they’ve made inspired me to believe in myself. Their confidence and achievements demonstrated the power of self-belief, and their faith in me deepened my connection to my own potential.

Collectively, these family members have been crucial in helping me find my purpose and understand who I am called to be. Their love and examples have been invaluable, and I am profoundly grateful for their presence in my life.
