We had the good fortune of connecting with Brenda Valdez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brenda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
To be honest i never really thought about starting my own business. With the pandemic so much changed with not only my work life but also my family’s life. I started working from home and have remained working from home ever since. I have realized throughout this whole process working from home is not something i enjoy. Having three kids and needing to focus on my priorities for work tends to get a little overwhelming at times. This ballon business is something I have always been interested in and love doing. Since i started doing it for my kids birthdays and close friends and family it only seems right to take it to the next level and make it my own. It has taken time and patience but that phrase “If you put your mind to it anything is possible” is something i really believe in.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
That is the beauty about art, every creation is different there are so many balloon artist in this industry but there’s only one you!! I make sure I use high quality balloons with every balloon creation I pour my heart into it. I am also trying new things in order to keep up with the trends. I’m excited to see my business grow. God has truly blessed me with this business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Of course living in Dallas it is a must for me to take them to a cowboys game. I am a die hard cowboys fan and love to go to game whenever I get the chance. We would head over to downtown Dallas and enjoy a wonderful dinner and walk around the city and enjoy how wonderful it is with all the history and art.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband is my number one supporter for sure and also my sister in law who actually just stared her business Browz and Glory last year doing ombré powder brows. She is someone who really pushed me and gave me the motivation to go after something I love. After watching her success and even though there were difficult times getting started or slow patches after she really got into it. Today it shows and really made me think about my goals and dreams ahead.
