We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Odom and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Motion Club and Area51Radio has been our relentless commitment to culture-building. We’re not just throwing events or selling clothes, we’re creating an ecosystem for the future of music, fashion, and media, right from the heart of Dallas.
With Area51Radio, our vision has always been to start the next MTV,a platform where real artists, creatives, and trendsetters get the spotlight they deserve. We’ve built it brick by brick, from digital showcases and street interviews to performance platforms and viral video series that highlight what’s really going on in the underground.
Motion Club, our streetwear line, is more than just fashion. It’s a symbol of the creative rebellion we stand for. Every drop we release, every lookbook we shoot, every artist we collaborate with—it all ties back into the world we’re building. Our events are where all of that comes alive. Whether it’s a rooftop party, silent disco, or a midnight basement rave, the energy is undeniable, and it’s all centered around community.
The revolution is happening outside of the industry machine. It’s grassroots. It’s bold. And it’s happening right here in Dallas. That’s our superpower,we move like a media company, think like a label, design like a fashion house, and party like the future is already ours.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Area51Radio and Motion Club, two sides of the same mission: to lead the new cultural revolution in music, fashion, and media. Area51Radio is a next-gen media platform—think of it as the MTV of the future. We create and curate performance content, street interviews, viral video series, and branded experiences that spotlight real artists and creators. Meanwhile, Motion Club is our futuristic streetwear brand that ties it all together visually. It’s not just fashion—it’s movement, identity, and momentum.
What sets us apart is how connected everything is. We’re not just throwing events, or dropping clothes, or marketing artists. We’re building a world. A lifestyle. A platform where creativity, independence, and culture collide. We have our own shows. Our own audience. Our own voice. And we’re doing it from Dallas—a city often overlooked, but full of talent and energy ready to explode.
But no, it wasn’t easy. We didn’t have major investors. We didn’t have a co-sign. We had belief, a relentless work ethic, and a chip on our shoulder. We’ve worked with limited budgets, juggled side hustles, sacrificed sleep, and put everything on the line. There were days when we didn’t know how we’d make the next shoot happen. But we always did.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is: build your own table. Stop waiting for validation or access. Be resourceful, be fearless, and stay tapped into your purpose. When you build something real, the world will catch up.
I want people to know that we’re not playing small. This is bigger than Dallas. This is a blueprint for independent creators everywhere. We’re here to empower the next generation of artists, creators, and visionaries with a platform that actually gets them. Whether it’s through a viral interview, a live performance, or a Motion Club hoodie—we’re telling our story, and we’re just getting started.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit Dallas, I’d make sure they experienced the real heartbeat of the city—the culture, the music, the fashion, and the movement we’re building. We wouldn’t waste time doing touristy stuff. I’d drop them straight into the world of Area51Radio and Motion Club.
We’d hit Deep Ellum and Bishop Arts to tap in with the creative scene—murals, vintage shops, indie artists, all of it. We’d stop by Gallery Defy—one of the most unreal art spaces in the city—where we’re hosting our silent disco series, Move in Silence. Imagine three DJs spinning on different channels, surrounded by immersive art, in a room full of people moving like they’re in a dream. That’s the type of experience that stays with you.
I’d bring them through one of our Area51Radio shoots—maybe a live performance, a street interview in Soho-style fashion, or a behind-the-scenes session with an artist on the rise. They’d see how we’re not just covering culture—we’re creating it. From exclusive sets to new music drops, we’re building the next MTV right here in Dallas.
We’d eat good—Caribbean food at Taste, soul food from Lo-Lo’s, and late-night bites from lowkey taco spots only locals know. And of course, we’d step out—whether it’s PM Lounge, Catbird, or a rooftop after-hours with artists, designers, dancers, and people who live life outside the lines.
By the time they leave, they wouldn’t just say “Dallas is cool.” They’d say, “Yo… y’all are building something real out here.” And that’s the goal—to make sure every person who touches our world leaves inspired, energized, and ready to move different.
That’s Motion. That’s Area51. That’s Dallas.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without a doubt, I gotta shout out my day ones—my partners $pace and Itzky. None of this would’ve been possible without them. They’ve been right there building this vision from the ground up—late nights, early mornings, countless brainstorms and breakthrough moments.
$pace is the pulse behind a lot of the creative energy that fuels Area51Radio. From music to visuals, his instinct for what moves people is unmatched. Itzky is a genius when it comes to digital strategy and the tech that powers our platform. Together, they help turn big ideas into real, tangible impact—and they’ve believed in this mission to create the next wave of media even when no one else did.
This is more than business—this is family. And I’m grateful every day to be building something this special with people who are just as passionate, just as crazy, and just as committed to changing the game.
