We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandalyn McNeill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandalyn, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have a background in hospitality. I worked for about 10 years as a concierge at resorts on the strip. We planned out guests vacations, booked restaurant reservations, tours, nightclubs and more. In addition, we helped plan proposals and events on-site. I really enjoyed this part of the job. I left the hospitality industry to finish my college degree. Once I graduated, I knew I wanted to get into the events industry but more specifically, I wanted to specialize in weddings! I decided to intern for a wedding planning company when we moved to Texas. We ended up returning home to Las Vegas, and it was then that I knew I was ready to start my own wedding and event planning company! I love the flexible work schedule that I can maintain while raising 3 kids, and I truly love the connections I build with every one of my clients. It’s so much more personable then when I worked for a corporate company. It’s so special to be a part of these amazing love stories, and watch one of the most important days of their lives happen right in front of me…knowing that I helped make this happen! It’s truly fullfilling!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are so many amazing wedding and event planners in our city. Some things I really pride myself on is communication and customer service. Coming from a hospitality industry that really helped fine tune my skills and level of customer service, I feel that this stands out in my business now.

I also really love to connect with my clients to build a trusting relationship. I want them to know that their wedding day is just as important to me, as it is to them. I don’t take that lightly as someone that is married myself! I hired a wedding planner for my wedding day, and I relied on her so heavily putting full trust into her. I always vow to do the same for every single one of my couples!

Just as I treat my clients this way, I also treat all of my vendors this way. We are a team, and it’s so important for them to feel valued throughout the process. Without them, my job would not be possible, and without me, their job would be much harder! So I always strive to let them know how much I appreciate them and the team efforts put into making our events a success!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well we’re in entertainment capital of the world, so this could be hard to narrow down! I personally love our dining in Las Vegas. There are so many amazing choices but I’d take her to Joe’s Stone Crab for a nice but delicious dinner, then we’d go see a fun show such as Absinthe at Caesars Palace.
We would go to Red Rock Hotel for a nice spa day and hang by the pool because this is my favorite local spot!
If it was winter, we’d go ice skate at the Cosmopolitan, then have drinks at the Chandelier Bar.
One of the days we would go out to Lake Las Vegas and rent some paddle boards, then head into the village for dinner at Mimi & Coco Bistro and listen to live music at night!
We would definitely need to do a day at Top Golf, hitting golf balls, pool, and other fun games.
If there was a Vegas Golden Knights game during this time, I would be there! I’m a huge VGK fan!
We would definitely have a shopping day checking out Downtown Summerlin shops or Town Square then drinks at Blue Martini followed by dancing at Stoney’s Rockin Country.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe so much of my success to our vendors that we work with. It takes a team effort to make these big events happen successfully, and having trusted individuals by your side is where it’s at! I also owe a lot of WIPA Las Vegas (Wedding International Professionals Association). Many of the vendors we work with are part of this organization. We have such a wonderful community that stands as the backbone of our industry. We all help each other out, we trust one another, and we’ve built a strong “community over competition” outlook that has helped us all grow in our small businesses!
