We had the good fortune of connecting with Blake Dagley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blake, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
As far back as I can remember I have wanted to be a musician. Now that find myself in a position to purse music as a career, I recognize that my mission in life is spread hope through my gift.

To be able to create an experience that allows people to find joy, hope, peace or to escape the moment, that is my ultimate goal in my career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a singer/songwriter from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have developed a sound over the past 15 years that can be described as a mix of folk, rock, and Americana. Having struggled with anxiety my whole life, I have found a new purpose with my music and have began a new journey of self-discovery. I write songs from the heart and sing with a passion to share the hope I have found on the other side of social and emotional anxiety.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start out our adventure in the Bishop Arts District and spend an afternoon exploring all that the area has to offer. We would then spend the evening in Plano at the Katy Trail Ice House Outpost, enjoying good drinks and entertainment.

The next day would involve the Stockyards in Fort Worth and enjoying brunch at The Biscuit Bar and then cocktails at a new little place called the Side Saddle Saloon. We would then end the night at Billy Bobs.

The next day we would hit up Arlington at Cane Rosso for pizzas and beers at Legal Draft Brewery. We would then catch a game at AT&T Stadium or Globe Life Park and end the evening at Mudhook Bar and Kitchen in Duncanville.
