Meet Benesha Davis | TheBNDBrand CEO & Entreprenuer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Benesha Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Benesha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Oohhh.. honestly, my thought process was I wanted some shirts that were a little more daring than what i could find in the store. I worked retail for a long long time and i remember seeing a YT video of someone making a shirt and i was like WOW that looks cool, fun and a way to make a little extra money. I think i researched everything for about a week and then i ordered everything and just started playing around.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others. Honestly, thebndbrand is all about individuality and truth. I want the girls and boys out there to feel comfortable in their own skin and in their own voice. Each and everyone of us has different beliefs, thoughts, ideas, and our brands goal is to help people feel seen. Ive met people that love our designs and some that hate them. But the main thing that they both have in common, is that it sparks a conversation and allows people to speak freely and be themselves. Unafraid, unapologetically, themselves. I am a fulltime creative. thebndbrand is my baby although i have neglected her at times, she has never left me. i overcome challenges but stepping away. i take some time off, and then i make a list of my reasons why, and remember that this brand is bigger than myself. Lessons i’ve learned along the way are that – as long as you believe in yourself and are willing to do the work to make your dreams come true. GO FOR IT. It will not be easy, it will get lonely at times. Dont afraid to ask for help (remember that no one owes you anything and that nothing is guanteed). however, trust in GOD and the abilites he has granted you and you will succeed. Lastly, measure success on WHAT YOU CAN DO not by comparing yourself to others. I want to know that here at THEBNDBRAND, we are small but mighty. We pour our blood , sweat and tears into our love for free of speech and fashion. Combining those two has allowed us the success we have today.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ohhhh.. i dont go out that much but the places i have visited i would take them there. Whenever my friends ome to visit I try to find a random resturant.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom. Shes been my biggest supporter. She helped me get my first client, and i’m pretty sure she owns more of my designs than anyone else i know. Whenever i start to doubt myself, or when the burden of being a business owner starts to wear on me. i know i can always call her and vent. Other than that, my 3 closest friends, my grandmother. Outside of personal relations would be a Score Mentor i had. I met her right after the pandemic and the knowledge and advice she poured into me that week is something i reflect on often. Words can’t describe how thankful i am that we crossed paths.
