We had the good fortune of connecting with Beltline Supply and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beltline, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We both collect t-shirts from our favorite businesses and from our travels, like breweries and coffee shops. However, we wanted something to represent our ties to our hometowns, specifically The Colony and Carrollton. We both had been shopping around for a while, but could never find t-shirt companies that really called back to the things we remember and cherish about our homes. For example, many companies will print an outline of Texas and write “Home” on top of it, but we never considered ALL of Texas our home…especially when it comes to Houston and San Antonio sports teams.

That’s when we decided to do it ourselves. We wanted t-shirts that represent where we grew up, and when we grew up.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Jonathan Obar is a digital marketer and entrepreneur that has built and optimized websites across several industries, spanning from cold-chain pharmaceuticals, grocery, construction, and more. He brings that knowledge to Beltline Supply with a goal of growing the site and the brand.

Wolfgang Floresca is a professional graphic designer and art director who has worked in the marketing and communications industry. Not only does he provide the creative expertise, but utilizes his data-driven marketing skills to connect with our audience.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, Jonathan now lives in Chicago, so every time he visits home he goes on a binger, which Wolfgang partakes in.

After getting off the plane we will usually drive directly to Old West Cafe or Waffle House for breakfast. We’ll usually hit up a coffee shop immediately after to prevent food-coma naps – White Rock Coffee or Merit Coffee.

In the afternoon we’ll go to a brewery…or 2. Martin House is really great. We also really like Four Corners Brewing Company. If we’re not craving beer, we have attempted the Margarita Mile. It’s not well known to tourists, and we think think that’s a damn shame.

Dinner will be Babe’s Chicken or Hutchins BBQ…maybe both.

Finally, we’ll grab cocktails after dinner. Usually Tiny Victories, which was introduced to us by Elijah Garcia from Bigfoot Beverage Club.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to give a shoutout to our wives, Natalie Obar and Isabel Floresca. They have been very supportive throughout this venture and put up with our weekly planning calls, which often go on tangents and get off topic.
