We had the good fortune of connecting with Bailey Chambers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bailey, how do you think about risk?
I took a risk in my career and refused to ever let failure be an option. I was going to tattoo, no plan B. Failure doesn’t exist, only a lesson I had to learn to get to the next level. Every time I fucked up, every time I got told no, I took it as a personal challenge. To prove that I could do it, and no one could stop me but myself. Nothing just doesn’t work out if you are passionate enough, and strive to improve yourself and your art at every step. You either overcome or you quit.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love tattooing in my heart and soul. There is no other art form that can compare. I love the permanence of it, how they tell the story of that persons life for a moment in time.

I get excited by all then little details of a piece that bring it all together and make it stand out.

I got where I am from stubbornness. I shed too much blood, sweat, and tears to ever think of giving up.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from tattooing (and life in general) is that perception is everything. You can choose to let your emotions control you and your life, or you can learn from it, let go of it and move on.

I want everyone to know: Fuck what other people think, get the tattoo, we live on a floating rock.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I work in the Stockyards, and love it there. Eagle Mountain Lake is fun in the summer. The Water Gardens and the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens are beautiful. If you’ve never been to a buddhist temple, definitely check out the Huong Dao temple in Fort Worth.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Parents, Lesley and Jason, for always supporting me. My Siblings, Cassie and Jace, for putting up with me. And my Mentor, Frank Flores for giving me a chance to prove myself.
