We had the good fortune of connecting with B Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi B, what are you inspired by?
I’m overwhelmingly inspired by music. Music is an enormous part of my life. Life isn’t always the easiest but music makes life so much better. More specifically, jazz music has shaped my life in ways that can not be quantified. Thank you to the musicians for the inspiration.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
OLPHACTORY CANDLES is my appreciation and dedication to jazz music, art, style and culture. OLPHACTORY CANDLES was born out of stress and needing to find a way to unwind and calm my spirit. The ability to create fragrances and then mold them into candles brought me peace. I’ve found my lane, now it’s time to coast. Building a business is not easy at all, it’s about perseverance and knowing that if you stay consistent and put in the effort, it will work out in your favor. Always think long term, always think from other perspectives, always think about others.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I LOVE DALLAS. I was born and raised here so seeing the transformation is amazing. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Most of the credit goes to my daughter. She is the driving force behind my life. I’m creating something that she can be proud of, something she can have ownership of. More credit goes to my friends/customers. I’ve met so many amazing people who believe in me and also my products. For that, I’m thankful.
