We had the good fortune of connecting with Azmina Pirani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Azmina, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Snug Mug isn’t the first business I’ve owned. However, I have learned that success comes from just letting go, and setting no expectations. You have to just enjoy the present. Once you stop caring about every little detail in life, you’ve made it. Just put a smile on your face and be proud that you’ve even made it this far.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Snug Mug offers a mobile hot cocoa bar, coffee cart, champagne wall, donut wall and other party rentals. We are based out of Prosper, TX, and serve the North Dallas area. My focus is truly to make my clients happy with my drinks. Although aesthetics is a big part of the event planning industry, my goal is to see that smile! What excites me the most is that even though this business is part time, we’ve landed amazing clients! We’ve worked with the Cowboys, Texas Health, and the City of Frisco. I got here through networking. Proper marketing and connections with others will get you anywhere in life. The more you talk, the more chances you have of being at the right place and right time. Honestly, it was easy for me because I absolutely love to mingle and get to know other business owners. I will say it again that the biggest lesson I have learned is to just stop caring and let things flow. Hustle culture is not something I take part in and it won’t get you somewhere any faster. You have to let the Universe help you flow while you put in just the right amount of effort. Snug Mug loves to support other small owned businesses, and would love to partner with you!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Legacy West or the Stockyards! They’re two completely different sides of what North Texas is all about. We would definitely go day drinking at all the restaurants at Legacy West. The Stockyards have the best entertainment and steak houses. There’s always something new going on over there.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My boyfriend, Med, deserves more credit that I can give. Without him, I would not be where I am at. He has supported me throughout the years while others have flaked out. He is my ride or die and has never said no to any of my ideas. My dogs, Cookie & Nibbles, have been my stress relievers. Who needs therapy when you have dogs, right? Just kidding. My dogs are my world, and they’re my motivation behind working for myself. I would also like to shout out my good friend, Melissa. She owns a healing shop in Irving, and is such an inspiration with how she sets her attitude towards life. She’s always focused, positive, and calm. I’m so glad to be able to call her my friend.
