We had the good fortune of connecting with Audrey Stewart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Audrey, what do you attribute your success to?
There is one common dominator I’ve found for success in my own business as well as the success of my client businesses’ – making the customer the hero. Always. Positioning your customer the hero doesn’t mean just saying “yes.” It means, understating the customer to their core – the problem they face and the tools they need to find success. This means, I see success when my clients double their revenue and grow their business more than they could ask or imagine. And, to do that they need a guide who can show them how to have marketing that works. AEC clients have a clear marketing plan that they can trust to work while they sleep, waking up to leads in their inboxes and the brain power to focus on other areas of their business-outside of marketing. That is success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It all started in 2010 when I landed my first job at a small local ad agency in Fort Worth, Texas. The role was public relations with a dash of strategic planning. By 2012, I made my first move to a larger ad agency (also in Fort Worth) and made the commitment to focus on my work as an account executive. I worked in this space for about eight years strategizing six figure marketing budgets, managing creative campaigns, and learning from the best of the best when it comes to client management, presentation skills, digital advertising, and strategic marketing.

Then I had my first baby and everything changed. You know the feeling? The pull of staying home, but the ache of sunsetting your career. Insert my first business – Let Them Be Little. A sensory play company based off of a need my daughter had, more on that here (https://www.wonderfultotell.com/episodes/2019/5/7/audrey-and-brandon). Let Them Be Little was my baby. I wrote the business plan, built the website, and ordered supplies to make the first box all within a week. It was a success and allowed me to step away from my career at the advertising agency and become 100% a momtrepreneur. The business grew, as did our family, and I sold the company seeing that as the ultimate win.

In 2018 I found my next step, consulting. I had my first client and stepped into the role gracefully. It was a fit. I was using my skill set from the ad strategy world and helping businesses grow. It’s my passion, brings me joy, and doesn’t feel like work because I love it.

I know how tough it can be to develop and execute a marketing plan that actually works and have found that when you use the right words, people will listen.

As I’ve continued to grow my consulting practice over the last seven years, I’ve also added tools to my toolbelt to best serve my clients including becoming a Certified StoryBrand Guide. Giving me a proven seven step framework that delivers incredible results.

And here’s what I’ve learned from the business’ I’ve worked with – I know that you want to be a successful business, growing beyond what you could ask or imagine. In order to do that, you need a marketing plan that works so that new customers buy your product.

The problem is your current marketing is simply getting you by, which makes you feel overwhelmed and concerned your business isn’t growing. You’re not alone. We believe your business deserves the best chance at success you can give it. Which is why for over 14 years we have helped business grow and use the proven StoryBrand Framework.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, we would grab a 1/2 Rodeo Latte from Rodeo Coffee located in Aledo. Then, we would hit up a few of my favorite botiques, Emmacate, Hale House, and Shop Birdie. For Lunch we would eat on Maria’s patio and have the best mexican food in town (and the best margaritas).
