We had the good fortune of connecting with Athena Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Athena, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Being a Content Creator/Influencing is an Art in itself. When I first began I would post alot of pictures. It’s quality over quantity, which has taken me time to figure out. I have come a long in growing as a Content Creator/influencer. Looking at posts from almost 3 years ago, I see a difference in myself. As far as confidence, my time to prepare a reel, I ensure that it all flows together. Providing the best customer service when working with a brand/restaurant/company paid or not, is important to me. I want to be proud in the content I bring to others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Anything you want to do takes work! Building up my network is a second job in itself whether it be in person or through the different social platforms. But through networking I have gained friends, mentors, brands that I have been able to work with. Others need and want to see what your capable of doing. Promoting different brands is what I do! I do it well, of course I can still learn more and grow as a Content Creator/Influencer. Just like my full-time job, we need to be dedicated and have a goal in mind to work towards. I have my goals, and I need to stick to them to reach what I would like to achieve this coming year.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve become an avid Art Enthusiast. I would take my best friend to all the Art Galleries I’ve been to and new ones as well. I have three gallery events I will be attending this coming Friday and Saturday. Just within those galleries, the drinks flow, the bites are delightful! Networking has been easier at the events, introducing my best friend to other Art Enthusiast who like to Gallery hop as I do! Dallas is filled with so much art!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The Dallas Social Influencers deserve most of the credit to my success. I joined their Group at the beginning of Covid. Meeting other influencers, content creators, learning how to take pictures, learning how to word content, photos. My confidence in networking with other brands in the area has increased significantly in a positive way.

Being a single mom, my son has helped and supported me tremendously through my journey. My son has been my focus of creating my success. Everything I do, I do for him to give him a brighter future, to know that there are so many things he can do with his life as he gets older.
