We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlie Hoffman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashlie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I have always played it safe and stayed in places far longer than I should have because I was comfortable. When the pandemic hit, I was out of work like most people for a while and during that time, I stayed home with my daughter Madeline. The time spent with her was so precious to me that I told myself that I was going to find something that allowed me to do more of that. A friend of mine came over and told me that she was in the mortgage business and it allowed her to stay home. That conversation sparked something in me and I got to work. My family and I decided to move to Texas and also discovered we had baby number 2 on the way. That only fueled my fire. I passed my NMLS exam at 8 months pregnant and was hired with Geneva Financial. Helping families buy a home has been so rewarding. I find that I work more in this job than in any prior but the reward of being able to stay home with my children is worth it. Being a loan officer, and helping people with the biggest transaction of their life is something I love and I never would have been able to write this had I not taken the risk.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am someone who genuinely wants to help others and working in a business where there are a lot of sharks in the water, having a heart can really set you apart. Be A Good Human is what Geneva Financial is all about and choosing to build my brand with them was the best move I could have made to ensure that every client I help is surrounded by good humans that share that same attitude.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d definitely grab breakfast at Our Place in Burleson and walk around Lost Oak Vineyard. I’d say we’d probably take a day to visit the Ft Worth Zoo and depending on the time of year we’d have to go to Country Critters in Alvarado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My children are the inspiration for everything I do, but I could not be where I am now without the support of my husband Luke, my amazing mentor Julie, and the the initial conversation with Janelle and Tiffany that sparked this fire.
