We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Saylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Texas Beauties Boutique started in 2019 and has taken on several transformations along the way. We first started out as a successful online facebook group in the makeup industry and that was fun but the entrepreneur heart of mine wanted to do more. I thought to myself, “I’m already one foot in the door of owning my very own business, why not go in 100%?” From there, Texas Beauties Boutique turned into an online clothing store with all the cute brands, accessories, to hand made candles. We held on as long as we could after COVID finally showed its face and I had to take a step back for a good year. During that time, I was taking my time to figure out where my passion was and I knew what I absolutely love to do, I just wasn’t sure how or what to provide. I absolutely love creating things and providing a service to my customers that they enjoy. I like the more personal relationships that you build with people in person. In my searching, I heard of permanent jewelry and did my research on it. I knew at that moment that this was the transition that Texas Beauties Boutique was needing. One Sunday I sat there scared to take the plunge in such an investment and I went back in forth for several hours on if I should push that “submit” button. Then I did it! I took the training course through the LINKED Permanent Jewelry, which is a phenomenal group of people by the way. After practice and more practice, I started booking my first small events and soon brought on my good friend Celissa Wilson to join in on the fun. Her and I both own our own businesses and just came together with our permanent jewelry lines to run large events. Its been so fun and rewarding to meet people and to just provide an experience for them. Permanent Jewelry isn’t just about the pieces that we create for that person, it is an experience for that mother and daughter, best friends, sisters or even couples. I’m so glad that I took the leap with this industry.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
While running my Permanent Jewelry line, I am also a triage nurse for Shine Pediatrics and Wellness Center. I also homeschool my two litters year round. To say my life is very busy is an understatement but I wouldn’t change it for the world. It’s humbling for me that I can take the challenges and the big leaps to provide for my family and do it all and do it with grace. Owning a business has many ups and downs. You have big wins and at times things can seem so unreachable. I could have easily shut the doors for Texas Beauties Boutique this last year but I didn’t. I knew that I couldn’t give up on that little dream I had back in 2018. To be able to go through the transitions of what works and what didn’t work is what has made my business stronger. It has made me smarter and more successful being a female business owner.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Justin Texas is a small town outside of Fort Worth. We have some really cute boutiques here that are too ran by very successful women. Texas Patina and Becks Beauty are two that are must to do a little shopping. We also have some cute antique shops with amazing pieces for collectors or those that love that DIY projects. With Fort Worth and other bigger city life near by, there is so much more to do.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
LINKED Permanent Jewelry for my training and the opportunity to be a successful momma of two. I also want to thank my mom,Tricia Wilshire, for always stepping in and arranging her time to help me watch the kids while I work events. My daddy for letting me borrow mom on weekends, haha. And last but not least, my kids for being my biggest fans and cheering me on with this new journey.
