We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Rimmer-Ratzel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
Becoming a full-time Realtor® has been one of the most important things I’ve done for my son.

A little back story here! We relocated here from Milwaukee,Wi without any of our family or support system. I was working as a loan officer and that consisted of a lot of long days and weekends. I remember days when I would literally only see him in bed due to the hours and the commute i had to take to work everyday. I loved being a loan officer but I also began to realize I was missing a lot of time with my family that I can not get back.

My son is now 6 years old and somedays I feel like he’s the realtor!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Growing up my dream career was to become an educator.

Now as a Realtor® I’m just that!

After college I became a mortgage loan officer with no idea on how to pitch a sale! I quickly learned this career isn’t about the sale. My 1st deal was with a New Yorker who opened my eyes to the career path i was going down. From that day forward i continued to education myself day in and day out. After years as a loan officers i decided it was time to go full time as a realtor and I can say this has been the best decision I have made. Being able to build relationships with my clients and education them throughout the process gives me so much joy! Closing day is always fun – my clients walk away with a new home or a home sold and i walk away knowing my client set at the table and understood every document that was presented to them to sign!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots in Dallas would have to consist of food and fun!

I’m such a picky eater my friends & family usually complain about my order when we go out! Some of my favorite food spots are Trulucks, Drake’s, Mi Cocina, and Kitchen Kocktails. We have to get good photos in so we would have to go to KAI and XOXO both are so cute and perfect for photos! With the variety of food in Legacy Food Hall we would have to have lunch there one day as well!

TopGolf would have to fit into the trip somewhere! I don’t know how to golf but we are guaranteed to have a good time while there!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My older sister has always been my biggest fan and I love her so much for that! Whatever goal i present to her no matter how big or how small she is always there to let me know i can achieve that goal and she’s ready for me to crush it! I have to give recognition to my real estate family; the ladies of Grace Realty Group. These ladies have helped me so much in my career in terms of education and business growth. I thank god daily for my support system.
