Meet Arrian Curry | Creative Director & Visual Artist | Photographer | Cinematographer | Marketing Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arrian Curry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arrian, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I think the answer lies in your ‘why.’ When things get hard—and they will—it’s natural to ask if it’s even worth it. But for me, I’ve learned that if the reason I started still holds weight, then I have to keep going. There’ve been times I’ve felt stuck, doubted my creativity, or questioned whether I was making a real impact. But I always came back to this: I didn’t come this far to only come this far.
That said, knowing when to pivot is just as important as perseverance. Sometimes you’re not giving up—you’re just shifting directions to align better with your purpose. You’ve got to be honest with yourself: Are you quitting because it’s hard, or because it no longer serves who you’re becoming?
For me, I keep going when the vision is still alive in me. I only walk away when the path no longer feels true.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is driven by one simple question: What’s your story? I believe everyone has one—whether it’s loud or quiet, chaotic or calm—and when someone reaches out to work with me, I’m not just showing up to take pictures or film a moment. I’m showing up to capture that energy—the feeling behind it, the truth in it, the essence of you.
What sets me apart is that I don’t treat this as just a job—I treat it like a collaboration between your story and my lens. I’m a creative director and visual artist who blends emotion, strategy, and intuition into every frame. Whether I’m shooting a portrait, a brand campaign, or a music video, I’m thinking deeper than just aesthetics. I want the viewer to feel something.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I’ve had moments of doubt, burnout, and feeling unseen—but I never stopped believing that the way I see the world matters. I learned to trust my perspective, even when it didn’t fit into trends or templates. I leaned into who I am and let that guide the way I create.
The biggest lesson? You don’t have to wait for permission to start showing up as the version of yourself you know you are. That mindset shifted everything for me.
At the end of the day, Arrian Curry is a brand rooted in storytelling and real connection. I’m not here to just shoot content—I’m here to help you tell your story in a way that feels honest, intentional, and unforgettable.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d center the day around Downtown Dallas, as there are essentially unlimited food options to explore. We’d start by strolling through Klyde Warren Park, enjoying the food trucks, and soaking up the vibrant energy of the city. For lunch, we’d grab a bite at one of the many local spots, maybe Pecan Lodge for some classic Texas BBQ.
Afterward, we’d head to NorthPark Mall to grab a fresh fit—perfect for dinner and a night out. Then, we’d finish the day with a few drinks at The Rooftop Bar at the Statler Hotel, enjoying the stunning skyline views.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I want to thank God for gifting me with this special talent. Through every challenge and success, I’ve learned that it’s not just talent that opens doors, but faith, character, and community. When things were slow, confusing, or overwhelming, staying grounded in something bigger than myself kept me focused and moving forward. That foundation has been essential in helping me navigate this journey and keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles.
I also have to give credit to YouTube. Even with my business degree in marketing, YouTube played a huge role in helping me turn knowledge into execution. It taught me the technical side—how to use my first camera, how to edit, and how to build a brand from scratch. Someone’s first step in sharing their knowledge became the reason I could take my own mental first step toward believing I could do this.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without my close friends and family either—the ones who supported me before I had a name, a brand, or direction. They believed in the raw version of me, and that kind of support is something you don’t take for granted.
I also want to give credit to every client who’s trusted me with their story. When someone hands you their vision and says, “I trust you,” that’s not just a job—it’s a form of respect that fuels me creatively.
