We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel Isaac and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ariel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I run my own business called KKA Creations. You may recognize some of my items on social media and posts from friends and family. I started my business about eight years ago, more so as a creative outlet, when I took a break from teaching children popular dance and cheer routines. I decided to utilize that same creativity for inventing dances, and turn it into innovative physical products.

What should our readers know about your business?
KKA Creations. Let me begin by breaking down this meaningful acronym, KKA are the first letters in mine and my daughters’ names. When I put my logo on any finished product there is definitely a piece of me that goes with it. Something I take pride in and also feel that sets me apart from other businesses is that I work meticulously on each individual order. I am a perfectionist and while that seems time consuming, I am patient and ensure that my customer gets what they ordered and more. I thrive on the excitement, and if I now they are giving my item as a gift, I ask for feedback so I can change and grow with my business. I have learned to not give up. That sounds cliché but I truly have learned to persevere. When business is slow, I have learned to join other groups pertaining to my business, to ask questions, to keep an open mind, and know that there is always a revolving door of ideas. Was it easy? Absolutely not, but it is challenging, and I accept that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
After my friend arrives into town, I’d have to make an initial stop at either Dak’s or Vidora’s. Both places host brunches and have very good drinks .Definitely something to brag about. At times they have live music as well. Speaking of live music, in downtown Plano there is an outdoor stage for concerts. Depending on the night there is a chill vibe or can become a night of loud music and dancing.
One day would consist of walking at the arboretum. The scenery is breath taking and if weather permits, the outdoor experience is memorable.
Something else I’d like to take her to experience is at the Grandscape. On a warm day or night, there is a lit up Ferris wheel that you can ride and see the surrounding city. In that same area, we would have a fully satisfying dessert at the Baked Bear. Let me tell you, they make the most decadent ice cream sandwiches.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I would love to give a shoutout to my family. My brother-in-law, to start with, as he is the one who pushed me to turn my creativity into a business, which is thriving. I need to acknowledge my mother. Hands down my biggest supporter and for being my FIRST and continuous customer. My children. They are constant motivators for me to keep doing what I do, and guide me to be the best I can be.
