Meet Antoinette Njombua-Fombad | Coach, Realtor, Creative, & RN

We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoinette Njombua-Fombad and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Antoinette, what do you attribute your success to?
Human interaction and connection have been very organic experiences from a young age. Unfortunately, I was labeled a ‘very bold and daring girl child’ especially living through a girls’ Catholic boarding school or being raised in a biased African culture. As I evolved, this affected my balance, and living my soul-purpose as a human became challenging. I even punished myself with isolation but would feel the opposite of the effect I so desperately imagined would allow me to fit in, and it sucked for my spirit.
I may be a people person to many, but I remain a citizen of humanity. Life experiences, emotional maturity, and spiritual growth have helped me understand why I am created this way. My life story has had its curves, but I remember it being full of interconnected, teachable, favorable, and joyous moments.
My nature has taught me that it is rare to walk up to someone in good faith or with enthusiasm and not receive positive energy. We are all uniquely different, so you can only understand someone better if you give them the opportunity, and it is hard to hate someone up close. Energy has to move and flow; one bad transfer can cause ripple effects so extensive it risks changing you. The benefits of positive energy and the abundance of love, guidance, and acceptance one receives mean more to give back. We are partly nurtured by the magnitude of energy we receive from connections in our immediate environments, an external influence affecting our physiological, emotional, and spiritual growth.
The ability to understand and inspire human connection is a gift, and I embrace and own it. It has enriched me with an extensive library and given me an appreciation of what it means to be alive and to inspire. Remember, the purpose of giving extends your blessings to enhance not only others but yourself, even when it is not reciprocated, for when we open our heart, mind, and spirit to truly touch another’s spirit, that by itself is a gift to ours.
I have understood that intentionally loving and giving are equally important as doing so unconsciously. Every human interaction is unique and provides us with opportunities to grow. So take every human interaction as a lesson, be vulnerable and learn something different, feel something unexpected, add to your library of human connection, and reciprocate from good intentions, authentically and as best as possible. And even when our humanity fails us, remember that is what affords our awakening. A privilege to decipher why we feel and how we can use the lessons to grow without compromising the very reason we exist. Open your heart when connecting with people, and you automatically live empathetically. Energy is the unspoken language that feeds the spirit, give and receive consciously.

What should our readers know about your business?
Working as an acute care nurse for thirteen years has undoubtedly been an environment for holistic learning and growth. Besides life-saving skills, you acquire other life-changing skills carried beyond the bedside involuntarily or voluntarily. Critical thinking, problem-solving, intentionality, situational awareness, assessment skills, accountability, prioritization, coaching, teaching, and living the mission of integrity, respect, and an ability to work with different individuals.
As young as I can remember, I have always valued living as self-reliant, open-minded, and solution-driven. My love of creative coaching began early as I problem-solve through my experiences. I believe there is a practical and beneficial solution for every problem; the key is acceptance instead of resistance. 2020 was undoubtedly a challenging year for most, I included. Still, I also understand that there is a teaching moment in every experience, no matter the initial effect, and the opportunity to intentionally use my creative and coaching abilities to make an impact in my community organically commenced. Consequently, WITHIN Coaching and Consulting Services was born.
I’ve always dreamt of creating spaces and environments for healing and growth. I figured if we can find a way to normalize vulnerability as an opportunity to build ourselves, we benefit from using our lessons to grow and create experiences in alignment with who we become.
Helping, inspiring, and empowering people to understand the value of self-connection in their actualization journeys is one of my greatest passions and mission. Self-awareness is vital to the process. My purpose is to encourage growth as our environments evolve and stay intentional with authenticity as we connect with our humanity and our growth and becoming. I wholeheartedly believe that the key to living fulfilled and balanced lives with sustainable relationships is directly tied to personal growth and Connection, as individual growth and contribution are crucial to all other relationship growth. Every person and story is unique, and when nurtured and factored in, contributions are more authentic, accountable, and optimal.
Awareness and Connection are the fundamental keys to productivity and fulfillment. Understanding the importance of living in acceptance of all within us provides the most accurate and authentic pathway to creating and connecting with what is without. When we honor, respect, and are accountable to ourselves, we do the same for our environments. My creative abilities and contribution are unique because they are not templates but a personalized representation of what clients require, experience, and generate, creating opportunities for independent Connection and building intentional relationships.
One-on-one coaching and consulting are necessary. However, it is not sustainable as outreach and results are limited. So group coaching, organizing and running workshops, executive contributing, creative directing, contributing, and collaborating with media outlets to create awareness on the benefits of self-connection and building a community and spaces that encourage and support vulnerability as a tool for Self-development, have become my life’s work. Home is where we are most alive, and as a Realtor, I get to use my affinity for making connections in finding people the property that enhances their aliveness.
It’s always a work in progress, but it is work I am committed to, regardless of economic times. I believe in my work’s impact on our society, and I understand the pressures and hardships of the process. The purpose is to help people grow because that is how everything else grows. Those who connect with my message will benefit from it. The goal is to do the work; the economics will work itself out as long as it is done. When the focus is to create intentionally, the outcome aligns with the purpose for creating. There’s the saying, ‘Do what you love, and you never work a day in your life.’ I love every part of what I do.
The world is shifting and changing. More people are intuned with spiritual growth and want to live purposeful lives. Balanced lives they are connected to. Challenges are a part of life. The old way of life focused more on challenges and inadequacies, but this new way focuses more on the person behind those challenges and the customized solutions to create the balance they seek. It’s more sustainable for humanity, stress management, mental health, and building relationships, leading to better productivity and outcomes. This is the work that organizations like mine understand is needed for the future, so there’s so much to be excited about.
We have long been conditioned that you must look a certain way, act a certain way, and speak a certain way to be accepted. We fail to understand and appreciate the blessings of our humanity. We are not robots. We are emotional beings, and it is a blessing that we can feel, experience different energies, learn a little from each other, and use our reflections to awaken, build, grow, and fulfill ourselves.
The necessity for Decorum is understandable. However, we forget that it can hinder the blessing of what makes the sauce. We tend to unconsciously suppress our positive Connection to our uniqueness, creating a negative response of fear and anxiety that makes it easy for us to doubt our capacity and fully trust and respect our unique contribution. We prefer to go into auto-Pilot than enhance an experience with an openness to give and receive authentically because we focus on contributing based on likability rather than purposefully. Creativity and true self-connection get lost in all that anxiety-fight/flight-robotic state. Imagine the opposite of this. Imagine what our personal and collective experiences and productivity would be like.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Moving to Dallas, Texas, nine years ago has been a joy. I’ve had the opportunity to meet some great people and found opportunities to grow myself and my family. If Dallas is known for one thing, it’s for doing everything big. There is a true sense of community even in a city this big. It’s evident in how family-oriented and focused city plans are. There’s something for everyone. There’s family life and fun nightlife. Urban city living and rural as well. From our undeniable love and support of our Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Rangers, and Dallas Mavericks to our shopping and excellent restaurants. Some of my favorite areas, of course, are The Star, the Dallas Cowboys HeadQuarters on a 91-acre campus with a variety of shops and dining locations, and home to my Sponsoring Broker, Monument Realty, the most reputable ‘Professional, Productive, and Positive’ Real Estate Firm of DFW, and official sponsors of the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Rangers. Shops at Legacy, and family fun moments at Andretti’s Indoor karting and games. There isn’t a visitor I haven’t had a meal with at my favorite Afro-Fusion cuisine spot Bantu Kitchens at Farmer’s Branch, or the French cafe and Bar, Toulouse, at Legacy West, especially on Friday nights as we get to dine with live music. and our amazing dine-in movie theatres. When we venture out to downtown Dallas, Cat Bird is another great spot for dining. For rooftop music and fun. Virgin Hotel has an outdoor rooftop refreshing bar and lounge—Aura Nail Bar in Frisundoubtedlytainly, where to get the best manicures. For rejuvenation and rehydration after a night of fun or just a need for some self-care, Precision Wellness Center in Plano, Coco Wellness in Anna, or Goodlyfe Laser Medspa in Frisco never fails. And for fall festivals, the Plano wine festival is a must. There’s the art district, the cultural hub of downtown, and the entertainment district of Deep Ellum. And all this is just North Dallas.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I know that my journey to this point would not be possible without the guidance and direction of many. I live daily in gratitude for the opportunity to live this life afforded me through my mother, my first teacher, and my most significant influence. Through her being, even as early as I can remember, I learned kindness, love, self-belief, hard work, and the elementary building blocks of my becoming. Family is not defined by blood but by those who consistently nurture and influence our growth. To all those I call family, I am forever thankful. My mentors at Monument Realty, Mel Bustos, Kristi Drayovitch, Jennifer Hoffman. and Tyree Taylor, thank you for pouring into me. Spiritual teachers and guides whose work inspires me daily and helps form my path, Echart Tolle, Brene Brown, Dr. Joe Dispenzer, Ophah, and your Super Soul Sunday Conversations that open me up to endless possibilities of self, Bruise Lipton and his ‘The Biology of Belief’ that still mesmerizes me, Maya Angelou, my soul mother who eternally inspires and motivates me to keep feeling, and writing and speaking and acting until my last breath. To Mark Nepo, Austin Channing Brown, Cameron Rosin, Michele Obama, gaia.com, Gregg Braden, Jay Shetty, Rumi, BRAINZ Magazine, Center Media Post Arlington, HER, Beyonce, Monument Realty Dallas, and everyone and medium who inspires me to experience my journey and express my gifts, my soul is nourished because of you. Thank you to all my patients and medical facilities that allowed me to care for them and serve beyond my interest. And irrefutably, to my husband, through whom I have had the opportunity to experience fatherhood, and my children, my greatest teachers, I AM because you are.
