We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Bates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, how does your business help the community?
Our church, Greater Works Church, prides ourself on being a beacon of light in our community and abroad. We try to be “the hands and feet of Jesus” here on earth. What that means is that we do what we saw Jesus do in the scriptures, which was feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit the sick and imprisoned. That’s our thrust, along with offering the glorious gospel to those who haven’t heard!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am the Pastor and Founder of a great church in Garland, Texas called Greater Works Church. I’m approaching my 12th year of pastoring the church. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been rewarding! I love seeing people’s lives change for the better. That in and of itself makes this job worth every hardship, trial, and tribulation.
We have accomplished a lot over these 12 years, and we’re just getting started!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, Venecia Bates. Without her I wouldn’t be able to do what I do successfully, and Greater Works Church couldn’t function as efficiently as it does! She’s the secret sauce! So shoutout to my Mooks!
