Meet Annie Voth | Wedding + Lifestyle Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Annie Voth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Annie, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my business is the love and support that I have from my friends and family. Without them, I would have never made it this far. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a mom that goes to photo sessions and captures behind-the-scenes content or a boyfriend that is your right-hand assistant when you need one.
As a photographer your brand is you. Your face, values, and actions are your brand. As my business has grown I have learned to implement my personal core values along with my business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In the photography industry, it’s super easy to blend in with the crowd and find yourself doing a lot of the same trends. However, as a photographer, your role with your client can get personal, which means being genuine self, offering a positive experience will set you apart from your competitors.
I will be the first to say, I am still growing and learning. I’m not the world’s best photographer but I love what I do, and I want to share it with the world. It’s not easy. Nothing that is worth it in life is. They say starting a business as an artist is one of the hardest career paths to succeed in. The best piece of advance I can share with someone who is starting out is, to show up. You may not know what your next step is and you are going to contemplate if you are headed in the right direction, but you’ll never know unless you show up and give it your best.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a local, if someone was visiting Naples for the first time. This would be our itinerary.
Day 1: Sunset on the beach and cook dinner for them at home. Nothing says welcome like a home-cooked meal.
Day 2: Beach day at Naples Pier or Clam pass with Pub Subs for lunch
Day 3: Boat day to Key Wayden. You have to get a burger from the burger boat.
Day 4: Brunch at Janes Cafe on 3rd Street and the afternoon at the Naples Botanical Gardens
Day 5: Take a short drive to Fort Myers for country line dancing at The Ranch
Day 6: Beach day and dinner at El Rincon de Mexico for some authentic Mexican food
Day 7: Day by the pool and dinner at Hog Fish Harry’s for amazing seafood.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to send a shoutout to my mom, Wendi Fowler. I watched her run her own business since I can remember and lead people to be the most successful versions of themselves. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her support.
