We had the good fortune of connecting with Anita Adokpela and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anita, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my non-profit organizations to address a variety of social, environmental, or community needs. These needs range from providing education and healthcare services to underserved populations, to promoting environmental conservation. The reasons for starting Houz of Dyza non-profit organization is make a positive impact and contribute to the greater good.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It was not easy starting this nonprofit at a very early age with no backing from the government or any bigger body. It was in my heart, and I knew I had to start no matter how small. There were challenges here and there, getting materials to distribute to the underprivileged and sharing education and awareness when needed. It started as a one-man thing, shortly after we started having volunteers and employees.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Absolutely legacy west. There are verities of things to do there. From the legacy hall to all the amazing restaurants out there.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shout out to is dedicated to my parents for raising me in the right direction and creating an environment where I felt moved to reach out to people in need. Now this has become a global mission.
