We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Grant, MBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, what are you inspired by?
My family is my main source of inspiration. Every decision I make is driven by the desire to make my family proud. I am also inspired by countless women that have persevered through unimaginable circumstances yet still overcame.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is an accounting/bookkeeping firm that specializes in accounting for Independent Insurance Agents. After being in the insurance industry for 20 + years, I realized there was an underserved, almost non-existent segment of the Accounting industry that catered to premium trust accounting. Thus, Assurance Granted Accounting & Bookkeeping Services, LLC was born to fulfill this void in the accounting industry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’ve lived in the DFW area for 10 years and still feel like a tourist myself however, I have managed to fall in love with a few places. I would start off with some sight seeing at some of the “touristy” areas such as Reunion tower, AT&T stadium, etc. By then I’m sure we would have worked up an appetite and we would head to Whistle Britches for brunch. To walk off some of the yummy brunch we would have consumed, we would then make our way over to the Shops of Legacy and visit some of the cute boutiques in the area. I would finish the evening off by heading over to Legacy West or The Star to partake in one of the many happy hours in the area.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people I would like to recognize but I’ll start with my well deserving husband, Marc Grant. Marc has and still is my biggest cheerleader who was extremely instrumental in supporting and pushing me forward to start my own business. There were many days where he has taken the brunt of our family responsibilities to allow me the flexibility and time to build my brand. And if that wasn’t enough, he has always been my voice of reason and assurance when my mind was filled with doubt and gave me the extra push I needed when I wanted to give up. Second, my children, Kendall & Kameryn deserve recognition for being my reason to continue to push to make them proud and fuel my desire to build a legacy they will one day inherit. . Being their mother will always be my greatest accomplishment and most important responsibility. Lastly, there are countless family members, friends and my entrepreneur circle/mentors that deserve recognition for all of the encouragement and support they have provided since the inception of Assurance Granted.
