We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel L.A. Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
What should our readers know about your business?
I have an outpatient practice that supports virtual and in-person visits. I, along with a medical doctor, nurse practitioner and an assistant support patients that deal with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety and inattention disabilities. What sets me apart is I’m not the typical provider as in how I interact with my patients. They often tell me I feel like a friend that they can tell me anything, but at the same time they respect me as their provider. I am extremely proud of myself for being an entrepreneur because that’s what I always knew I would be. I learned all of my business sense from my parents, who were both business owners since I was a baby. I’ve learned along the way that no one will look after my business the way that I will and to always follow my instincts. I want the world to know that I’m a multi-dimensional woman that has many layers. Yes, I am business owner, but I also enjoy living life to the fullest.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was visiting, I would definitely take them to some black own businesses such as Kitchen + Kocktails for food and drinks. I would take them to Whiskey’s in Fair Park to enjoy the ambiance and phenomenal whiskey inspired mixes. Some fun places to hang out is at Virgin Hotels, along with a few places in Uptown Dallas. I would have them check out The Star in Frisco, because of course I love my Dallas Cowboys, and Legacy West in Plano for some shopping and entertainment.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this to my deceased father, Eldridge Adams, Jr. who has played an intricate part in all of my success.
