We had the good fortune of connecting with Andres Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andres, how do you think about risk?
In my career so far as a 22 year old barbershop owner, I believe taking risks was an important factor in my success. I took the risk of dropping out of college at 19 to pursue barbering full-time. Not knowing how successful I’d be, I went all in because I was confident my passion for barbering would take me far.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a business owner, I’m most excited about finding different I can use my business to support our community. Just this summer we hosted a back to school event where we did free haircuts and gave out school supplies and ice cream to students in need. A secret to my success in this industry is being consistent and providing high level customer servicie. I always strive to be a high-quality barber that my clients can rely on.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the stockyards, 7th street, the state fair, six flags, the Dallas sphere, and a cowboys game.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a special thanks to my parents. Without their continued support I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my goals as efficiently as I did. I’m very blessed to have great hard-working parents. They’ve always pushed me to be the best that I can be.
