We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrei Tone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrei, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
What was your thought process behind starting your own business?

Starting Tone Films in Plano wasn’t just about launching another video production company — it was about filling a creative and strategic gap I saw in the industry. I noticed that while many Plano video production companies focused on visuals, few were telling compelling, brand-elevating stories that actually drive results. I wanted to change that.

My thought process was simple: combine high-end cinematic production with business-minded storytelling. As a longtime creative and entrepreneur, I believed that Plano needed a video production company that understood both art and strategy — one that could serve corporate clients, personal brands, and growing businesses alike.

Today, Tone Films Plano stands as a trusted Plano videographer and creative partner for companies looking to scale their message, strengthen their brand, and stand out in a competitive market. Whether it’s commercial shoots, branded content, or full-scale campaigns, we’re proud to be one of the most forward-thinking Plano production companies in the area.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Tone Films Plano is more than just a Plano video production company — we’re a team of visual storytellers who believe that every brand, business, and individual has a unique narrative worth telling. From corporate campaigns to high-impact social content, we help clients bring their message to life through cinematic visuals and strategic storytelling.

What sets us apart from other Plano video production companies is our hybrid approach: we merge high-end film aesthetics with real-world business goals. It’s not just about making things look good — it’s about making them work. Whether we’re creating for Fortune 500s or rising local startups, we bring the same level of creativity, intentionality, and excellence to every project.

Getting to this point wasn’t easy. Building a successful Plano production company meant facing uncertainty, wearing every hat imaginable, and learning how to adapt fast in an industry that’s constantly evolving. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that clarity of purpose beats hustle every time. Once I understood that Tone Films existed to serve and elevate others through powerful visuals, the vision got sharper — and so did the results.

I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built, the trust we’ve earned, and the impact we’ve had on clients across the DFW area and beyond. I want the world to know that when you work with Tone Films Plano, you’re not just hiring a Plano videographer — you’re partnering with a passionate, innovative, and values-driven Plano filming company that’s invested in your success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Plano for the week, we’d do it right — a mix of chill hangs, high-end taste, and hidden gems that show off what this city is all about. And hey, as someone running a Plano video production company, I can tell you: Plano’s not just a suburb. It’s a cinematic backdrop waiting to happen.

Day 1 – Legacy West Vibes
We’d kick things off at Legacy West — grab coffee at Fiction Coffee, then hit up Haywire for that rooftop Texas comfort food with a twist. Later, we’d cruise around with the Taycan (because why not) and take some content for my team at Tone Films Plano to turn into a mini highlight reel.

Day 2 – Foodie Day
Breakfast at The Biscuit Bar, lunch at Sixty Vines, and dinner at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse — Plano’s culinary scene is seriously underrated. We’d end the night at Bulla Gastrobar with some tapas and drinks.

Day 3 – Nature + Chill
Hit Arbor Hills Nature Preserve for a sunrise walk, then relax at Spa Habitat. Evening movie night at Cinemark West Plano, followed by late-night tacos at Torchy’s.

Day 4 – Creative Day
Visit the ArtCentre of Plano and swing by a few filming spots that I’ve used in projects at Tone Films — places that look like they belong in an indie film or a luxury car commercial. Might even shoot something for fun with the crew — we are a Plano filming company after all.

Day 5 – Dallas Crossover
Quick drive into Dallas — brunch in Deep Ellum, art at DMA, rooftop drinks at HG Sply Co., and back to Plano for a nightcap at Union Bear Brewing Co.

Day 6 – Local Legends
Explore shops at The Shops at Legacy, get dessert at Sprinkles, and maybe run into some cool locals (we’ve got a growing network of creatives, entrepreneurs, and influencers — perfect for any visiting content creator or Plano videographer to link up with).

Day 7 – Sunday Slow Down
Church in the morning, brunch after, and then a mellow hang at The Boardwalk at Granite Park. Nothing beats live music, a breeze off the water, and a good cold brew to close out the trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely — success is never a solo journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people and influences that shaped Tone Films Plano into what it is today.

First, I want to give a huge shoutout to my parents. Their work ethic, integrity, and constant belief in me laid the foundation for everything I do — including building a Plano video production company from the ground up.

I also want to recognize the mentors and creative minds I’ve worked with over the years, especially those who pushed me to think bigger — not just as a Plano videographer, but as a leader and entrepreneur. Their insights helped me transition from freelancer to founder, and turn Tone Films into a standout Plano production company with a mission-driven edge.

Finally, my faith has played a huge role. The challenges of running a Plano filming company can be intense, but it’s that sense of purpose and calling that keeps me grounded and focused on creating meaningful work.

Every frame we shoot at Tone Films Plano is the result of a community that poured into me — and this shoutout is for them.
