Meet Andre Walker Jr | A&R Representative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andre Walker Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andre, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I used to build and design things that I would set into motion and not have to be adjusted to create a work-life balance. Work-life balance is the ability to adjust your work resulting in the consistent and continued enjoyment of life, not equal intentionality towards work and life. I like my work, and sometimes, I love it, but I LOVE LIFE more, and I will adjust my work to experience consistent and continued enjoyment and purpose in life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Andre Deon Walker Jr, and I make LoFi Beats under the moniker of “Hanover Park.”

What sets me apart is that I make music that audibly narrates my past, present, and post experiences in life. Even the titles of my songs represent some experience that I’ve had, an experience that I’m currently having, or an experience that I hope to have in the future. Initially, I tried to make LoFi, but I couldn’t figure it out, and I put my keyboard away. I repeated this process four more times before a friend showed me how to change quantize and change the velocities of notes within Logic Pro X.

This experience taught me to search for the answer until I found it, then implement it to find out if it was the answer I needed. With this mindset, I could overcome challenges, search for the answers I needed until I found them, and implement them, confirming they were the answers I needed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were a girl then I would take her to these places.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The Bible talks about the difference between the rich and the wealthy, and both can have the same amount of money and assets, but one loves their money and assets while the other loves God, but both have worked to acquire what they have.

Proverbs 13:22 says, “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.” When I was reading this verse, I was writing my book, “Discovering God,” which is still being finished, and I wanted to become a good man who leaves an inheritance to my children’s children.
