We had the good fortune of connecting with Ananya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ananya, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In the community that I live in, and just across the US in general, we have a lot of tools for academic enrichment at our disposal, but I think that something that we need to focus on more is overall well-being. This means improving the process, instead of just the results, considering things like optimizing your time, focusing on your health, and your mental state of being over just your academic accomplishments. l’m a big believer in
embracing the moment, but I also know that a lot of us are balancing that desire with a drive to succeed and reach these new heights. Keeping this idea of balance without sacrifice in mind, I put Project Life Ready together to essentially enable ambitious
high schoolers, like myself, to ensure that they’re happy and healthy while achieving their goals.

I intentionally created the course to be less than 60 minutes in duration and free of charge because I don’t want there to be any obstacles to spreading this type of knowledge. No matter what our personal goals are, as humans, we share a desire and responsibility to live life to the fullest potential. This course is a foundational step toward just that.

I decided on 4 modules that I found to be the building blocks to my vision: time management, physical fitness, emotional well being, and financial foundations.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
To me, it’s all about balance. I think it’s easy for many people, including myself, to get caught up in a single tracked focus. But, when we zoom out to the bigger picture, it’s hard to enjoy our professional or educational successes without prioritizing our health and state of mind. I believe Project Life Ready is an initiative to help others thrive with their own initiatives. It definitely was not easy, doing countless hours of research and reaching out to dozens of professionals until I found one who was willing to share their expertise. Remembering what gap in society I sought out to solve and why it is so important gave me the motivation to continue working until I had a product I was pleased with. Of course, there are always things to improve so I am always open to feedback.

I’ve learned that change does not have to be a massive difference, it is actually more impactful when taken as small consistent steps.

I want the world to know that I have not always been someone who can zoom out to the bigger picture. I was, and still am, overwhelmed by my current work, solely focused on my high standards, and stressed about my future. Yet, I have learned, how to balance these ambitions with the workouts, family time, and emotional intelligence that put me in a place to enjoy the process, instead of just pushing through until the results. At the end of the day, it is about being deep and thoughtful about what truly matters in the long run.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would 100% take my best friend to iFly Dallas, an indoor skydiving facility where I train frequently. I would want them to experience the weightless liberation of flying and to show them the tricks I’ve been working on. We would definitely spend an evening at Legacy West, shopping, dining at North Italia, and enjoying gelato at Amorino. Boulder Park would be a definite choice for me. I love rock climbing and going through ropes courses. I would also plan for us to spend one day at Top Golf. Even though golfing isn’t my strong suit, the experience and the fried Mac n cheese balls are some of my favorites.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my parents for always supporting me and reminding me immerse myself in the things that I am genuinely passionate about. It is my mom’s belief that life is too short not to enjoy it and my dad’s principle of always working to better myself that inspired me to build Project Life Ready.
