We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Tasukada and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Since I was in third grade I wanted to be a writer. I’ve been writing since I was a little girl. I was an only child so I would often play pretend. I would think up these long stories. Eventually, I started to write them down. I developed my writing craft and with kindle coming out it made it easier to publish books and get them into the hands of my readers.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
International best-selling author Amy Tasukada writes thrilling times of crime, love, and gore. Readers who crave diverse characters, unique settings, and edge-of-your-seat action will devour her Yakuza Path series. Readers who seek less blood and more love will swoon over the Yakuza Path Romance and Would it Be Okay to Love You? Series. Amy is an atheist, queer author who enjoys drinking tea, Japanese street fashion and visual kei music. Her calico cat, O’Hara, is never far from her side. Amy lives in North Texas, but is always planning her next trip to Japan.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
… well if there wasn’t a global pandemic we’d head to H-mart and eat food there. 40 below poke for sure. The Dallas art museum is always nice.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
