We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Happiness can be defined by feelings of joy, satisfaction and fulfillment. We all have different things that makes us happy. For me, I find happiness in seeing satisfied clients. I absolutely love being able to make other people happy through my photography. There is nothing better than capturing those precious moments that my clients will be able to cherish for a lifetime. It really brings a smile to my face! This is one of the main reason I started getting into photography. I myself love being able to stroll down memory and look back at photos through the years. I wanted to share my love of story telling and capturing those moments in time to create something everyone will love. The other part that brings me happiness is being able to watch my clients’ families grow! Its so wonderful to see my couples start their own little family and then watch their children grow up through the years! Life is precious and worth capturing!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud of being able to do what I love! Not everyone is lucky enough to have a job they really enjoy and I am blessed that I am one of the lucky ones! My passion is creating beautifully told stories by capturing moments in time. Starting a new business is never easy, especially when I decided to move to a new state and start over. But I have never regretted it one bit! I had to build my clientele from the ground up but it has been so sweet getting to watch my clientele grow! Word of mouth has really helped my business become successful over the years. It also took a lot of hard work and dedication to never give up, even when it was challenging.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many wonderful things to do in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. When I have friends come from out of town, I like to take them to my favorite local restaurants such as Shady’s, 10-50 BBQ and Pie Tap. Then we like to put on our cowboy boots and head over to Fort Worth to go Texas Two Stepping at Billy Bob’s while also exploring Cowtown! We also try to see a rodeo as well! Then we would head to Dallas and explore all the cool little areas the city has to offer! Then a little drive away, we would head over to Waco to explore Magnolia and the Silos and eat at the Magnolia Table while enjoying their delicious food!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to send a special shout out to my wonderful family. They have supported me and made my dreams possible of becoming a photographer! I would not be where I am today if it was not for their love and support!
