We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Schumack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Prior to starting Heavenly Herbal House LLC my husband and I suffered with several different issues; physically, mentally, and spiritually that kept us stuck depending on physicians, prescriptions, and ultimately led to horrible poisonous addictions. Constantly searching for a way to live a normal life and be a functioning member of society was always met with perpetual failures. I could never find any sort of comfortability or consistency in my life with the options that were provided to me, there was always a trade off which more often than not would result in awful side effects that were worse than initial struggles. Every day was filled with an extreme desire for change, and not just any change, an escape from the vicious cycle of depending on an unnatural toxic lifestyle. While in the middle of this battle we decided to rededicate ourselves to God through Jesus Christ. Upon our submission to Christ we started reading the Holy Bible every day and seeking out more natural God given remedies. Not long into this search of a natural approach we stumbled on a tree in the coffee family that was praised in south-eastern Asian countries for its many positive benefits including reducing pain, increasing energy, aiding in focus, and giving an overall positive mental boost called Mitragyna Specisoa also known as Kratom. This tree had been used in traditional medicine overseas for several decades however we had never known about it, it was like a hidden secret here in the states. We ordered some and immediately following our first dose we instantly fell in love! Just a small amount of this tea was able to knock out the majority of our struggles we had been enduring for YEARS. It was miraculous that this naturally occurring, God given tree had such GIANT benefits for us both. A small amount of the tea was able to dramatically change how we felt mentally and physically. For the first time in several years, we finally had a positive outlook on life, and knew we had to share this good news with as many people as possible.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Heavenly Herbal House LLC specializes in God given small batch botanicals that are pure, unaltered and safe. We started out 4 years ago with just powdered Kratom tea but have since branched out to additional products. Our most popular items being wild crafted Sea moss gels that are made fresh every single week, kratom tea and “hybrid herbal blends” , and all of our herbals (excluding the sea moss gels) are available in capsule form or loose. The biggest challenges initially were securing suppliers that had consistent quality that was safe, the lab testing to ensure purity, and the overall amount of money it cost for everything. Starting a business cost a lot of money, but my husband, an army veteran had a good portion of savings which he gracefully allowed to be spent to get everything established for us. There was a lot of trials, errors and expenses along the way but because of it we were able to learn so much about quality and find amazing lifelong connections for herbals that truly are blessings in our life and our customers. The difference between Heavenly Herbal House LLC and other brands is that we are a small Ecommerce business that has real life conversations with our customers. It is not about making huge profits for us but more about making a difference in the quality of life that people experience. We have discovered this amazing new way at life utilizing the creation God has given us, and truly want to help make a difference. The individuals that we serve are not just another ticket number to us, they are like family. We have a private group on Facebook specifically for our herbal family and take the time to listen to them, pray with or for them whenever needed and truly build a bond that is like nothing else I’ve ever experienced while personally being a consumer.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have three children and most of my friends have multiple children as well, so with that being said I would have to refer them to “Kids Kingdom” in Rowlette because it is literally such a great time, and all age groups can have a blast for FREE! You can pack foods for a picnic to enjoy at one of the many tables available, explore historic sites, hit the trail which includes exercise equipment, or go strictly to play at the park. There are so many things for the whole family to do at the “Kids Kingdom” park you could spend hours there which tires the kids out while allowing the parents to chill out for some much-needed adult time. This park includes a zip line, rock climbing wall, tire swings, a life size dinosaur skeleton inside of a sand box, a little village play area, a massive robot slide, and so much more. Additionally, I would say a must have spot during the day is Fair Grounds in Dallas; they have The Discovery Gardens with an incredible butterfly exhibit and directly next door there is a small aquarium that has live interactive activities for the littles to enjoy. After that I would stop by “Truck Yard” because it has an outdoor ambiance like nothing else with live music and a large variety of drinks for the parents to enjoy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The absolute most important shout out in my life has to go to God through Jesus Christ. When I surrendered my life to God through Christ everything started to change. It wasn’t immediately however, when I made the conscious decision to have Him be the focal point in my life everything started to positively change. This new relationship gave me direction, capability, in addition to opportunities that would seemingly fall into my lap. I would pray about specific struggles and situations, then later would have books or people brought into my life that would directly assist me in discovering the answers I was seeking. It was like divine intervention from God himself on numerous occasions and I would realize exactly what I needed to do to. With out this relationship and dedication to my creator I do not think I would be where I am today.
