We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Hey, great question! For me, there are two key habits that have really helped me succeed: forgiving quickly and discipline. Let me break it down for you.

First off, forgiving quickly is such a game-changer. Holding onto grudges or dwelling on past offenses only weighs us down and stops us from reaching our true potential. It’s like wearing a pair of heavy shackles that prevent us from moving forward. By forgiving quickly, we free ourselves from that negativity and create space for growth and new opportunities. It’s all about looking ahead and embracing what the future has in store for us.

Now, forgiveness and discipline go hand in hand. Discipline is like the backbone of success. It’s what keeps us on track and focused on our goals. When we cultivate discipline, we create a solid foundation for achieving our dreams. And that’s where forgiveness comes in. We need to develop a lifestyle of forgiveness in order to truly concentrate on our goals. It takes discipline to form the habit of letting go, moving forward, and not getting caught up in that “why me” mentality.

So, if you want to succeed, remember to forgive quickly and practice discipline. Let go of grudges, focus on the future, and stay committed to your goals. It’s all about creating a positive mindset and a strong sense of determination. You’ve got this!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Alright, let me spill the beans! I’m currently rocking it in the Health Care industry as a Sr. Coordinator, and I’ve been hustling in this field since 2006. Along the way, I’ve picked up some serious skills in Project Management and Lean Six Sigma, and boy, did those help me climb the ladder with several promotions. It hasn’t always been a walk in the park, but I’ve overcome challenges like a boss.

But here’s the real deal: what truly brings me joy is being able to lift up my teammates and cheer them on every single day. It’s like my superpower, spreading encouragement and helping others tap into their greatness. And that’s where my passion really takes flight outside of my corporate gig.

I wear multiple hats, my friend. I’m a Speaker, Author, and coach, all rolled into one. Speaking into the lives of others and witnessing their incredible transformation lights a fire within me. That’s why I created Keys to Balance, my very own company. It’s my way of making a positive impact on the world.

Let me give you a sneak peek into what Keys to Balance is all about. We’ve got this killer mentorship program, a 90-day mindfulness journey that teaches the power of intentionality, forgiveness, discipline, and agreement. It’s all about finding that sweet spot where balance and success collide.

Oh, and by the way, I’ve written a book called “The Power of the ‘F’ Word in the Workplace” (and no, it’s not what you think!). The “F” stands for forgiveness, my friend. It’s a game-changer, and I’ve even created an awesome E-Learning course on the Thinkific platform, based on the lessons from the book. All of this is geared toward helping people tap into the incredible power of forgiveness and discipline.

So, that’s me in a nutshell. A Health Care pro by day, and a passionate Speaker, Author, and coach by night. Keys to Balance and all its offerings are my greatest gift to the world. I’m here to make a difference, and I’m not holding back!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh man, if my best friend came to town, I’d make sure they had the time of their lives! Here’s a rough itinerary for our week-long adventure:

Day 1: Brunch extravaganza! We’d find a cozy spot where we can chat and laugh for hours while indulging in delicious breakfast goodies. Gotta start the trip on a fun and filling note.

Day 2-4: Since we all have kids, we’d probably spend a few days hanging out at home, cooking up some tasty meals, and just enjoying each other’s company. You know, the kind of laid-back hangouts where laughter fills the air and kids run wild.

Day 5: Time for a family-friendly outing! We’d head over to Six Flags for a day of thrilling rides and awesome memories. As long as the weather’s not scorching, it’ll be a blast.

Day 6: Let’s treat our taste buds to something special. Saaya in Dallas would be our go-to spot for some mouthwatering Mediterranean cuisine. The ambiance there is off the charts, making it a dining experience to remember.

Day 7: We can’t miss out on the arts scene, so we’d catch a performance at the Dallas Symphony. Immerse ourselves in the beautiful melodies and let the music transport us to another world. And you can’t leave Dallas without trying Pappadeaux seafood, so we’d definitely have to squeeze in a mouthwatering seafood feast.

Final Day: We’d wrap up the week on a spiritual note, attending a powerful service at Concord. We’d soak up the uplifting message and probably shed a few tears as we say our goodbyes at the airport.

Quality time would be at the heart of our adventure, creating memories, laughing till our stomachs hurt, and enjoying each other’s company to the fullest. It’s all about having a blast with the people who mean the most to me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout time! There are a bunch of amazing people and books that have played a major role in shaping who I am today. First and foremost, I owe a huge shoutout to Jesus Christ and the Bible. In times of confusion or heartache, the Word of God has been my rock, providing guidance, comfort, and hope. Without God’s grace, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Next up, let’s give some love to the incredible authors who have enlightened me through their writings. Cindy Trimm, John Bevere, Neville Godard, Bill Johnson—these are just a few of the brilliant minds whose books I’ve devoured time and time again. Their words have challenged and inspired me, helping me grow spiritually and mentally.

But it’s not just about books and authors. A special shoutout goes to my amazing family and friends who have been a constant source of encouragement and love. Their support, grounded in biblical wisdom and free from fear-based advice, has been absolutely crucial in my life. Surrounding myself with these uplifting individuals has made all the difference.

So, thank you, Jesus, for your grace. Thank you, Cindy Trimm, John Bevere, Neville Godard, Bill Johnson, and many others, for your profound teachings. And a big shoutout to my family and friends for their unwavering love and biblical guidance. You all have played an invaluable part in shaping who I am today, and I’m forever grateful.
