Hi Allison, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have been an entrepreneur for the majority of my working years. My thought process on starting my own business was always focused on doing what I am passionate about. Without passion, one does not have a driving force for success. Entrepreneurship is not for the weak of heart; there are many challenges and endless hours you put in beyond the typical 9-5 job. It takes guts, commitment, some stubbornness, creativity, determination, a great support system and passion.

I love home design and am passionate about making a house a home. A home should be a reflection of its owner, including their lifestyle, all who reside within as well as an owner’s personal style.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are an award-winning firm and respected industry leader based in Bartonville, Texas, and serve the Dallas / Fort Worth area. We are passionate about Interior Design and enjoy creating breathtaking spaces worthy of a lifestyle magazine spread. Whether our clients are building, remodeling, staging, styling, decorating, renovating or preparing to sell a property, we create impactful spaces that will evoke an emotional connection for each client.

POSH Home Staging & Redesign is a full service interior staging, styling, and design firm. We are known for creating chic, warm and inviting spaces and work with both residential and commercial properties.

What sets us apart from others is our attention to detail and not only listening to our clients, but hearing their wants and needs. It is our goal to assist our clients in reaching their project’s fullest potential. We offer a versatile and sensible approach to design that provides a timeless look that flows effortlessly into many styles of homes. Through it all, we strive to keep our clients happy and stress free so that they may fully enjoy the process and achieve their ultimate goal even when the vision may not be clear from the start.

Today, I am very fortunate to have business partnerships and clients who continually refer me to their friends, clients and family members. It’s a blessing for which I am extremely thankful!

There is no “Easy Button” to owning your own business. The biggest take aways for me are two fold — Listen and hear what your client is saying verbally AND more so what is not said out loud; and secondly, continue to learn new things!! My business grows when I do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh goodness, the Dallas / Fort Worth area has so much to offer!! The area where I live has some very special dining options, so we would definitely have excellent and unique meals at The Barrel, Rustico and Sip + Savor! For entertainment value we enjoy the Dallas Arboretum, White Rock Lake, the Stockyards, the Kimball Art Museum, an evening at Globe Life Park watching a Ranger game or one of the many festivals in Grapevine!! Additionally, Dallas offers several options for music lovers…we are always looking for the next big live music event which happen throughout the metroplex!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Scott Fifer is my biggest fan and greatest support system. With his constant encouragement, being a solid sounding board and silent partnership, he fuels me with the confidence needed to be an entrepreneur. Additionally, I was raised by two parents who were also entrepreneurs, so it is a natural fit. I also want to shoutout my two daughters, Kaylee and Reagan, as they are my Why!!
