We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexus Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexus, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was to create passive income that would later turn into generation wealth. I want to leave something behind that my grandchildren could be proud of me for and that they could also benefit from.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a student at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) where I’m getting my Associates in Apply Science then I’ll ho on to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to obtain my Bachelors, Masters & Doctorate degrees, if the Lord say the same. My plan is to become a Clinical Psychologist in my hometown of East St Louis, IL. and for the surrounding areas. What sets me apart from others is my go getter ambition, my strong willed attitude, my dedication to my goals and just being cut from a different cloth lbvs. I was not easy, by far, getting to where I am. I overcome my challenges by first allow God to lead me and just simply never giving up on a goal I set out to achieve! Nobody can put that fire in you! You have to want it for yourself like you want to breathe! A few lessons I’ve learned along the way is to have confidence enough in yourself to not only go after what you want but grab it and never let go! You’re going to make mistakes but take the lesson from it, grow from it & never allow yourself to much time to dwell on it! Failure comes with success & it will NEVER come over night. You don’t plant a seed and harvest it the next day so don’t expect your plans to become trophy until you water them, nourish them & pull up some of those bad roots around it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give honor to God first! If it wasn’t for Him saving me, I would still be lost, damaged & out of control literally! I own EVERYTHING to Him! Secondly, I want to give a huge shoutout to my granny and spiritual mother, Evangelic Caroline Turner. She has been my motivation during times of self doubt and she always guides me when I feel lost. Also my support system, they know who they are! I love y’all!
