We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexus Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexus, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
As an Entrepreneur, I view success as a journey. I consider any achievement, recognized or unnoticed, a success. One of the first things to get clear in your mind is whether your most important value is growth and control. I like to maintain a consistent level of productivity and take both my successes and failures in stride. I try to learn from both and apply that knowledge to future situations.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I began my time in the industry as an Entrepreneur because I’ve always known I was a Leader at heart. The resourcefulness, willingness to improvise and listen to others with a strong determination to succeed. I also had a deep passion for Art, Design and Poetry and It grew as the years went by. I knew that I had to take a risk and it was not going to be easy. Though, through all the difficulties in the beginning accepting that failures are part of having a growth mindset is the starting point. Keep your eyes open for opportunity, never stop creating and believe in yourself. I began Lalalgraphics and GirlzNBooks Club with the intention to inspire, grow, and succeed. To invest my time and energy into something I love. Getting to build my vision and see my creations grow from an idea into what is is today has been the best part of this whole journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start the fun off with some exploring and shopping at the FortWorth Stock Yards. Head to DirtyLaundry7th for a little speak easy fun, then catch a vibe at the Dallas Art Park. Wine down with dinner at Dahlia’s and end the night at the Punch Bowl Social.
