We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexas Vinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexas, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
If I can be completely honest when I first thought about starting a business, I thought it was going to be easy. I just knew I was going to have a lot of customers when I first launched and have a lot of support but it was the complete opposite.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets PuffysAngels apart from other wig businesses are 1. The wigs itself are made custom made and glueless so you can wear our wigs without any product added. 2. We can relate to our customers on a personal level because the issues or concerns about hair they face are the same ones we face. I’m most excited about the new upgrades that our company is undergoing. It took the first year of my business which I didn’t get no sales to realize that my company is not like everybody else’s. I was trying to be like other popular hair companies and conduct business the way I saw them doing business and that absolutely didn’t work for me. I thought posting a couple of pictures and saying I own a business was going to get me customers and sales but it didn’t, for some people that may work but it didn’t work for me. I had no plan, structure, or goal set into place and that’s where I messed up. And no starting a business is not easy if it was then everybody will do it. Having a business is not for the faint hearted, you have to really strategize and plan if you want to succeed. This year in 2021 I said I’ll let God guide me and takeover because trying to do everything myself is what got my company 0 sales. I want the world to know that Puffysangels is a luxury wig & extension hair company. We provide high quality wigs, amazing informative content on social media, and excellent customer service. We specialize in custom fitted and glueless wigs. Our units are great for all women also women who may suffer from hairloss or may suffer from skin sensitivity. All the units are machine made and last over 3+ years with proper care. What made me start this hair company was when I found out in 2016 that my step-mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She dealt with chemotherapy and hairloss which led to her feeling down and depressed. When I found out I was still in cosmetology school and also pregnant at the same time so my hormones was all over the place. But I had to realize everything I was going through was for a reason. After all the circumstances and challenges I was faced with I turned it into a business to help others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
On Monday we will go to Six Flags amusement park while everybody at work so we can have the rides to ourselves. On Tuesday we will go to the Fort Worth Zoo because there animal exhibits are so amazing. On Wednesday we will go to one of my favorite nail shop/spa in cedar hill call Lily’s nails and get pampered. On Thursday we will go to razzoos and get crawfish and fruity margaritas because it resembles New Orleans. On Friday we will go to downtown Dallas and walk around the city and go site seeing because at night the city is lit up and it’s so many amazing sceneries around. On Saturday we will go to brunch at papadeauxs in north Dallas then go to NorthPark mall and go shopping. On Sunday we will go to church at the Potters House located in Dallas if you want to go to a big church or if you want to go to a small intimate church we can go to my father in law church New Walls of Jerusalem located in Lancaster Texas.

First and foremost I always give thanks to God for instilling this vision in me. Also I want to thank my amazing parents and husband for the encouragements and motivation.
