We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Simms and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson that business as well as my career has taught me is to find balance. As entrepreneurs, creators and artists – basically anyone, no matter what you do, you need to have balance. It’s important to have equal focus on your life, work, trying to achieve your goals. Especially when trying to start a business, it’s a lonely journey. We put in the long hours, wear the most stress, have many sleepless nights etc. We should never neglect the need for exercise, love and laughter, that will make those hard days a little bit easier to deal with. Balance is key to success. Once you find that, things start to fall in place so much faster.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’d like to say I’m very proud of where our business is today. It’s been a hard road and it would be dishonest to not say, that I don’t wish we were in a better position overall currently. I must remind myself we are exactly where we need to be. The year 2020 was tough on some and good for others. We weren’t that lucky. We are looking to overcome the experiences and lessons from this past year and regain our momentum as we continue to increase our visibility. We are blessed to say the least. Success continues to follow us no matter how small or big the wins are. I would love to share the main message behind the brand and that is “FREEDOM”. We don’t truly give that word the respect it deserves. Live Freedom Brand was created on the basis that life is about freedom from fear, freedom from doubt, and freedom from limitations. We were created to experience the beauty of this world and express love, to tap into our true talents, and to not be afraid to express oneself. We are greatness. Our brand is more than just some graphics and cool phrases, Live Freedom Brand is most importantly about building a community of likeminded, active individuals who preach positivity and family.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m excited that I actually do have some friends coming into town in the coming months. I basically have a food tour planned. I’m going to show them the best Dallas has to offer. We’re starting the week at The Truck Yards down in Dallas. I also plan to take them to all the best spots like Pecan Lodge, Velvet Taco, Imoto, and Hotel Zaza to experience the night life. Of course, I’ll also show them some gems we have here in Arlington, like Hurtado BBQ and Legal Draft Brewery.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
