We had the good fortune of connecting with Aisha Chaudhri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aisha, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Honestly it’s a constant work in progress. Some weeks I think I have it all down and other times everything that could go wrong, does. I have to set boundaries other wise I would be constantly working. Planning ahead ( the amount of lists I have is insane) really does help. That said I’ve also learned that not everyday is going to be perfect and thats normal. The main thing for me is to go day by day and check in with myself to make sure I’m able to give my work and personal life the best parts and not running on empty

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
A lot of people see the final product, the posts, the reels, the moments that looked polished-but what they dont see if all the work that goes into getting that shot.

When I first stepped into creating content I had zero idea of what I was doing. It started because I had gotten married and moved away from home and my sister still needed help with makeup and clothes, so she wo9uld call me asking so many questions. And on a whim I decided I’ll just make you a video so you can go back and see it over and over again.

Putting yourself out there on the internet is not for the faint of heart and I was so scared. There were times where I felt like I was just alone because it is a very hard space to get into. But I kept at it because for me I was just helping my sister. Slowly those videos started to take off and other women and young girls would tell me how I feel like their older sister.

Content creation isn’t as easy as it looks. It takes time, effort, and so much behind the scenes work. But it’s been so rewarding and I am so grateful for all the support along the way

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start off with food hands down. Dallas offers so many different varieties of amazing foods. So I’m taking my best friend to a nice lunch in uptown, maybe the highland park village area. After lunch we would explore all the shops. Then head on over to the Dallas Arts District.

Some other notable places on the must visit list would be the stockyards, white rock lake, and the perot museum. Some notable dining places would be pecan Lodge, Cattleack BBQ, Tatsu Dallas, and Revolver Taco Lounge.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I work really hard, but I wouldn’t be able to give my focus to what I love if it weren’t for my husband and my sister. My husbands support and encouragement means so much to me. He’s honestly been my number one cheerleader from day one, so thank you Salman!

My sister: my unofficial manager. She’s the one that lets me think out loud and cross check all my crazy ideas. So thank you to Hajera for being my sounding board and cheerleader.

Lastly, I would not be given any of these amazing opportunities if it wasn’t for my amazing followers. Their messages, likes, shares and quit support behind the scenes keep me going. Every kind word, every little bit of encouragement gives me the push I need to keep creating
