We had the good fortune of connecting with Ahmani Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ahmani, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is to always remain humble genuine and true to myself but to always be open to growing

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I wear many hats and I am still learning to balance everything . I am a qualified mental health professional who is passionate about fitness and making an impact on the younger generation through sports and athletics . What sets me apart is that I use my flaws and things i have learned in my journey to help those around me by being a role model and example for them by giving them guidance. I am most proud and excited about my track team that i finally started , this team is something dear to me because I am adding a component that I feel all sports should have and it’s mental health piece . Having this piece added will help my athletes become more mindful , self aware and knowledgeable about their mental health especially in stressful situations such as sports or simply just the pressure of always being the best in what they are doing. My athletes will be winners not because they won a race but because they are emotionally intelligent and can valve sports and their emotions.

I got to where I am today professionally by believing in myself making sure i kept God first and remained persistent on what i know my purpose is . I also made sure to surrounded myself with like minded people that truly had my best intestines at heart and that made it a point to always better themselves because it would push me by seeing them do great things .

This was definitely not easy i overcame many challenges by maintaining and keeping mu goals at the forefront even things got tough , having to constantly remind myself “ Rome was not built overnight” the more i got comfortable with this the more i started seeing my life flourish how i pictured . Lessons i have learned along the way are “no one cares go harder” and “keep going someone is expecting you to fail”.
What i want the world to know about me the most is that i will always stand on what’s right , treat people how i would want to be treated and that i made an impact in the smallest ways because people will remember how you made them feel .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them on an adult active date something like ninja warrior or like a trampoline park so we can have a great time and feel like kids again . If this was a week long everyday of the week we would do something that reminded us of how much fun it was to be a kid. Monday we would start off small at a movie and then skating
Tuesday we would go to the park and have a picnic and feed the birds
Wednesday we would go on that adult active date or trampoline park
Thursday we would just go to a bar and get great drinks and spend the night in having a slumber party
And Friday we would go to 6 flags to eat and ride whatever we wanted .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like too dedicate my shoutout to both my parents. They went their separate ways when i was 5 years old , but growing up I learned so many things from each household . One major lesson I learned from my mother was to always stand on your own two feet, that way you’ll appreciate your hard work more and my father he taught me that tough times go away not tough people . Both have come far in life and are successful it these are the words that stuck in my heart the most outside of “i love you”
