Hi Adrianne, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
My background and upbringing have had a profound impact on shaping who I am. A lot of it has to do with my mother. Growing up in a household where my mother worked hard to support our family taught me the value of perseverance, resilience, and hard work. Her determination and sacrifice inspired me to strive for excellence in everything I do and to never give up, no matter the challenges I face. The love and strength she showed in the face of adversity have instilled in me a deep sense of gratitude, compassion, and empathy towards others. Overall, my upbringing has molded me into a strong, resilient, and empathetic individual who is determined to make a positive impact in the world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Through my lens at Hazel & Root By Adrianne, I embark on a heartfelt journey that honors the essence of cherished memories. The loss of my mother in 2015 sparked a profound realization of the importance of treasuring life’s fleeting moments.

My brand goes beyond capturing beautiful images; it is a dedication to providing people with priceless treasures that transcend monetary value—keepsakes that hold memories forever, even in the absence of loved ones. The name “Hazel” echoes the warmth and beauty of my mother’s hazel eyes, while “Root” signifies her unwavering support and guidance that grounds me in my craft and day to day life.

What sets me apart is the intention behind every photograph. Each image is infused with a depth of emotion and connection that stems from a place of personal experience and profound understanding. At Hazel & Root, I strive to create more than just pictures; I aim to capture the intangible essence of moments that resonate with the heart and soul, setting my work apart with a touch of heartfelt sincerity that speaks volumes beyond words.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My absolute favorite spot in the city would have to be Sundance square – such a visual representation of art within itself! The food in the surrounding areas are amazing, I would say my favorite place is Wicked Butcher Steakhouse.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shout-out to my siblings Bryant & Hailey, who have been my pillars of strength and unwavering support through the toughest times in our lives. Together, we have faced adversity and loss with courage, resilience, and an unbreakable bond that has carried us through the darkest of days. Their unwavering love, support, and resilience have been a source of inspiration and comfort, reminding me that we are stronger together. In the face of challenges, they have shown incredible strength, unity, and perseverance, proving that no obstacle is too great when faced with the unyielding power of family. To my siblings, thank you for being my rock, my source of light, and my constant source of love and strength. This shout-out is for you, with all my heart and gratitude.
