We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana Semidey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adriana, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born and raised in Texas, however I am a First Generation American. When my parents came to this country, all they had were the clothes on their back and give or take one hundred dollars. My parents had to learn the hard way how to build credit, the importance of credit, how to purchase a car, a home, how to file taxes, etc.

These things were never taught to my parents coming from a different country to the states, so how would they be able to teach their children proper finances? I am so thankful that by the time I was old enough, my parents learned most of this and instilled in me the importance of financial freedom.

Unfortunately, most people will never get the opportunity to learn these basic life skills and will not be able to help educate their children, and their children will not be able to education their children and the cycle goes on and on.

Growing up, finances always intrigued me. As I was attending college, I applied for a bank job, was hired and one thing led to another and I began to grow within one of the largest banks in the world. Fast forward 8 years, I began working with small businesses. I noticed there was a lack of financial education with upcoming small business owners.
You go to school, take courses, classes, etc to perfect your craft, but very little classes/courses will teach you how to start your business in that field, what you need to register your business, file taxes, etc. When I realized this, a light bulb just went off, I want to help these business owners. I know and understand it can be very overwhelming and stressful thinking about business finances, whether it’s bookkeeping or taxes.

I then opened Budget Bee Financial and Services, in hopes to make a difference, by educating our clients on how to properly manage a business, file taxes, handle their finances and much more.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I opened Budget Bee Financial and Tax Services in 2020 with the goal of helping business owners understand their business finances, so you they can make better business decisions that will allow them to grow and achieve your goals.

Since establishing my business, we have grown rapidly, but our vision remains the same. I want to continue making a difference in my clients’ lives, adding value to the financial and tax services I offer.

The parts of my work-life that I find most fulfilling are the many interactions I have with clients. My main focus is on understanding your books and finding ways to take your business to the next level.

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my integrity, trust, honesty, passion, and accountability.

I attribute my success to my never-say-die attitude when it comes to finding solutions for you. I am passionately committed to what I do, and it shows in my work.

Though my business has been in operation for only a couple of years, I have already seen my services make a difference and catapult my clients towards success. This gives me great satisfaction and inspiration.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My idea of a good time is going hiking, I absolutely enjoy it! My favorite place to hike is the Eagle Mountain Park, right next to the Eagle Mountain Lake. It is just so beautiful and peaceful. I also enjoy the Fort Worth Nature and Refuge. I love to look up hiking areas around the DFW to go hiking to from time to time.
