We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana Narvaez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adriana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My journey began at the Texas Laser Institute where I specialized in skin tightening, fat dissolving treatments as well as radiofrequency and infrared collagen building devices on the face and neck as an alternative to a surgical face lift. Thereafter, I continued to work for a New York based company in Las Colinas where I expanded my skills to a variety of cutting edge noninvasive aesthetic treatments for those individuals not looking to go under the knife for pricey cosmetic procedures. Along the way, I realized the market was short in these non-invasive procedures in the southern sector of the city where I reside specifically in Cedar Hill. I also recognized the need to introduce and educate men and women from all walks of life to the med spa world and more so my Spanish speaking clientele. Often times, prospective clients are turned away due to lack of knowledge in their own language or due to high treatment cost. During my long commute to and from the med spa I decided to take a leap of faith and open The Sculpting Room in Cedar Hill. This would be my way of giving back to the community by supporting other local businesses through women empowerment events as well as providing services I whole heartedly believed in at an affordable price and in a more personalized, welcoming environment.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At The Sculpting Room, we value our community, connections and the long-lasting relationships we build with each client. We take a holistic approach to our treatments by incorporating stress relief and relaxation, wellness, and self-care through the highest quality industry services. We believe that wellness and beauty is something that radiates from within and is affected by our habits.
Our services are created to exceed our guests’ expectations and we are consistently evaluating ways to add value for our guests.
At The Sculpting Room, we want to be a serene place in your own backyard where you find inner and outer peace as well as the latest cutting-edge technology at an affordable rate.
Our clients are the heart of our business. We listen to what is needed and respond accordingly for a more personalized holistic experience in every visit.
The people of the community have really shown their support through this journey as well as current clients that have traveled from hours away and out of state to visit us in south DFW.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Bishop Arts District in the heart of Oak Cliff is a rare gem where one will find the unexpected in every corner. Bishop arts has long been a favorite for Dallas sites and has grown to offer a variety of cuisines and eclectic small business shops that you will find nowhere else other than Oak Cliff. This historic area not only offers new and old restaurants as well as artistic points of interest just minutes south of downtown but also a ton of photo worthy spots and murals. When family is in town that is where you will find us. 

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The first month of opening, as well as the setup itself had its challenges as I eagerly awaited all of our equipment and supplies to arrive. I feel extremely blessed to have met other thriving small business owners along the way as well as other community leaders that welcomed us into the heart of Cedar Hill as a minority women owned business, The people of the community have really shown their support through this journey as well as current clients that have traveled from hours away and even out of state to visit us in south DFW. I could not be more thankful for their trust and loyalty. My business and personal growth coach is Luisa Rodriguez from Allen, Tx. Her guidance through life’s ups and downs in business have certainly encouraged me to push toward new frontiers fearlessly with confidence.
