Meet Abeer Hamed | Resin Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Abeer Hamed and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abeer, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Painting and drawing have been a part of my life since childhood. As a kid, I have always had a passion for creative things.
Art is something that brings joy to my life, and I wanted to pursue what makes me the happiest.
You know, the beauty of art is that it enables people to express themselves in various way, for the Resin Art I aim to express myself by adding my personal touch to this art and try to create something unique and sophisticated.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my business, “Resin 4 fans”, this year to create unique and modern pieces using the chemical known as ‘Resin’. Resin is quite complex to deal with;
it requires patience, flexibility, and continuous growth. However, with the right amount of effort and dedication, it will inevitably create something so beautiful and artistic.
Resin 4 fans generally revolves around handcrafted Resin Art. The exciting part about this art is that it allows you to use different techniques to produce various items that range from coasters and trays to wall art. Due to the many options available, creativity in this area is never limit; if anything, it constantly encourages you to think outside the box.
Talking about ‘thinking outside the box’, I genuinely believe that what sets me apart from other similar businesses is the delicate elegancy in all of my creations. I genuinely care about the tiniest details; I make sure to add different layers to my pieces like adding hand-painted , natural stones, shells, cards, or even organic ingredients like coffee beans (yes, I can add whatever I want and that’s the beauty of it). Sticking to one technique becomes boring over time, and that’s why I tend to avoid sticking to one technique and always aspire to try new methods (I have many and they always say ‘The more, the merrier!’).
Honestly, I am very proud of my art and how far my creativity has expanded over time. However, where I am at today did not come with ease; I had to put in the time, effort, and energy to balance between this hobby of mine and my personal life along with it’s responsibilities. I must say, getting to the level I am at today was very tiring, but definitely worth it.
Lastly, I would like to say that while perfection doesn’t exist, I try to challenge myself on a daily basis to get my art to be ‘perfect’. I love my art, and I will work harder to make it better than it is today. My journey to develop my art will continue, and I highly encourage all the artists out there to do the same and to never give up. Don’t forget, practice makes perfect!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a Mom for 4 kids I would do all the kids things during the day . We love the Zoo , Dallas Arboretum , Aquarium and sundance Square.
Hang out at legacy west which is good for walking around and trying different foods.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I’d like to thank God for giving me this talent.
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband who actually supported my dream ,he has always stood by my side , and my kids who are my biggest fans.
I would like to give a special thanks to all my family and friends who actually supported me.
