We had the good fortune of connecting with Claudia Zelazny and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Claudia, we’d love to hear your perspective on online dating (or interesting anecdotes).
I have never signed up for online dating, convinced as I am that I would get the only serial killer who made it through the vetting process! Many happily married couples I’ve met found this happiness through a dating site. There are also a million stories out there that make me cringe. If this is something I wanted to do at this stage in my life, I would have done it by now.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Legacy has been an LLC for 11 years last month. If you read statistics about small businesses, that is quite an accomplishment and my partner and I take great pride in that fact. Even more so because we have introduced something that no one in the states had heard of all those years ago and are making it a household word: ELDOA™ and SomaTraining. These exercise modalities are being used by professional sport organizations and pro athletes in every sport. Legacy has been using these training techniques with our clients for over 15 years, helping people create durability and longevity for happier, healthier lives. Sometimes we have felt like Sisyphus! But our strength as a business and as practitioners is our staying power. We are so passionate about what we do and so grateful for the results we see every day with our clients, we could never let a problem stand in our way. Not even COVID-19. This is an unprecedented time in the world and small businesses are suffering, but we plan 3 days out, a week, a month, 3 months, and beyond so we can hit the ground running when the situation permits.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Food first! Bob’s Chop and Steak House on Lemmon for the best rack of lamb in the business. Ascension in the Design District for kale salad with baked chicken. Gemma, Parigi’s. Al Biernat’s, RM 12:20 Bistro Kozy Kitchen for a Bowl of Doom Anything in the Bishops Arts District Cru in West Village Outdoor spots: Klyde Warren Park, White Rock Lake, Dallas Arboretum, Trinity River Audubon Center, and and DORBA Trail, Trinity Groves after a walk across the Calatrava Bridge Museums: Nasher Sculpture Garden, Perot Natural Museum, Dallas Museum of Art Landscaping: Anything done by Robert Bellamy, Bear Park along Lakeside Drive Shopping: Highland Park Village, Northpark, Big Mango in Dallas Design District.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I hope this box is big enough to list the angels who have supported and taught me during the last 12 years. Bobby Hall and Trudy Evans, both local teachers, who helped me with meditation, going within, centering myself, and studying the esoteric world. Scott Herrera, my business partner, Paul Chek, Guy VOYER, DO, Dan Kalish, Cliff Oliver…part of the nutrition, anatomy, exercise, coaching and training paradigms I’ve been exposed to in this last decade. The students I’ve met during courses I taken…their journey and growth has influenced me and given me hope for the world. Some of these same people have become friends and I cherish them.
