We had the good fortune of connecting with Charmaine Hogan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charmaine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was to be able to educate other individuals that are interested in healthcare. The business started out as an emergency training business but during the pandemic there was a shortage in healthcare providers and that’s where I found my passion for educating/mentoring others that wanted to go into the healthcare industry. This is where All is Well Healthcare Solutions turned into All is Well Healthcare Academy.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
All is Well Healthcare Solutions and Academy is nestled in Little Elm, TX, it started as an emergency training school then blossomed into the healthcare training school for entry level healthcare providers. What sets All is Well Healthcare Academy apart is that I actually started out in the areas that I am teaching so I have firsthand experience in the career field.
What I am most proud of about my school is that I actually started it and the number of lives that I have touched and made a difference in.
How I got to where I am today in business was through hard-work, sacrifice, dedication, and most of all my faith to know I could do it. It was not easy by far. There were many days that I wanted to quit the process. There are still days that I want to quit due to difficulties but I still press on because I know am making a difference.
A lesson that I have learned along the way was to not give up on my dreams. I take breaks but I don’t quit.
What I would like for the world to know about All is Well Healthcare Academy is that this college will be as big as the other local technical/junior colleges in the area.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a best friend that was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever I would definitely take them either to The Shops of Legacy in Plano or The Star in Frisco. We would start off in The Shops of Legacy enjoying food, drinks, and shopping. There are so many places that I have been in that area but the most memorable would be Ebbs and Flow for past birthday. They really know how to cater to the crowd and it was very inexpensive as well.
Other places to check out would be the The Star if you are a Cowboy’s Fan,
Shark Club in Plano if you are into the upscale bar scene, Common Table at The Star for a bougie hip-hop brunch, and also The Biscuit Bar at Granite Park for a nice patio brunch.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people that I owe my credit to is to my grandparents CleArthur and Allie Hogan. They have shaped and molded me into the person I am today. The love and support of my 3 children; Chartavia (21), Allison (16), and Micah (6). The mentoring and encouragement of Lorraine Cook that gave me the opportunity when I moved to Texas in 2010 and also to my friends and family that have supported me.
