We had the good fortune of connecting with Josip Abramovic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josip, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I matured with some experience and gained a good reputation in the industrial sector at the age of 33 I realized that I am worth more and that I can influence people and share my experience and knowledge to make them better in their work. I decided to open an industry consulting firm in Germany, and it eventually expanded globally. Today we are starting a new story in Dallas …

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I was a child who escaped the Yugoslavian- War in 1991. Life has not always caressed and cared for me. My parents struggled to have a good childhood when we fled from Bosnia and Croatia to Germany 1992/1993. Raising in Germany (1993-1998) taught me discipline and work. Returning to Croatia (1999) after 5 years in Germany, I worked on myself and started working very early parallel with my economic studies (at the age of 23) in a higher managerial position in an Austrian company based in Zagreb/Croatia. By the age of 28, I learned a lot about management, sales and marketing and moved to the industrial sector in Zagreb, Croatia with an electric motor manufacturer called KONCAR. As a international sales manager, I have met many foreign customers internationally and connected globally. In 2015, I left Croatia for the Netherlands, where I started working for a Turkish company in the same electric motor sector as Sales Manager for Europe. I quickly realized that my connections and my knowledge had reached such a level that many customers / partners and colleagues said, “work for yourself and open your own company.” In 2016, I opened ABC Consulting (www.abc-consulting.eu) and I immediately started advising 6 companies (some of them BEGE Power Transmission, Omec Motors, Van Steen , LG etc.  in the countries NL, DE, AT, BE, KO, CN). My reputation and image have been slowly building over the last 6 years. ABC Consulting was very successful and in 2017 the ABC Group (www.abc-group.de) was formed, where many industry partners merged and began to cooperate differently in Europe. ABC has started working on almost all continents and has offices today in Germany, Switzerland, America and China. My goal has always been to make the people around me progress and make their work easier and more efficient. I have always followed market trends and been a source of information for many large companies, which have hired me for certain projects. So I worked for the big Siemens, Bosch, LG and other big players in the industrial market. A lot of friendship also played an important role here and I like my private life to be in balance. This was always well reflected by my wife and I often took her on my world trips. I have visited many countries in the world (over 60) and attended many industry fairs where I was constantly connected with new people and partners. That is how I managed to connect Indian, Chinese, German, American and many other countries in industrial interests with my advice/consulting. In 2018, I decided (from a privileged situation) to create another brand out of ABC company. It’s a the STARK company (www.starkdrivesystems.com) , which I founded together with my partner Mr. Mahmut Karademir from Switzerland.  I finally made my dream come true and had products , which I used to advise, now under my own brand. STARK only started with electric motor production, which have started to be sold all over the world, and even here in the USA we have representatives from 2019 in St. Louis. In addition to the electric motors, in the last 4 years there have been 7 new products that we have developed (pumps, reducers, transformers, VFD, Linear motion products, ventilation, high voltage motors, etc.). Always my consulting through my first firm ABC Consulting from Germany has led the ABC Group and the STARK brand forward. Even this global pandemic did us no harm because we are very well connected globally and we have adapted to all the obstacles. In February 2022 I came with a team of 4 people to Dallas to start here ABC Consulting and STARK US. Now a new story is being built in America with excitement. We are very positively surprised about Dallas and the opportunities here. My life is accompanied by a thought once: “Everything is possible and never give up! be every day 1 % better!” Today we run ABC and STARK on a modern online way and coordinate everything through our offices in Germany, Switzerland, America, China and India is in our plans, too. This year I will be 40 years old and I love tho change things, so this positive development here in the US is a gift to myself.


Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A very difficult question which place in this world would I recommend. I saw and visited them too many. I could talk for days and weeks about them. For one week trip I can recumbent my friend this 2 destinations: I really liked Maurcius, where I married my wife. Beautiful beaches and wonderful weather adorned our stay. We visited the Ruma factory there and one small special winery called TAKAMAKA. A Frenchman produces a special wine on a small farm. The city of Dubrovnik in Croatia is also a special place that I adore. There, walk through the old walls and have a drink a Croatian coffee there is just great.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My story begins with the great support of industry partners from Germany,The Netherlands, Croatia, Austria, Belgium, China, Korea etc., but especially from my wife Marela Vinkovic Abramovic, who strongly believed in my success and followed me all the way to building my company and my consulting image. There were a lot of obstacles that we went through together and solved together. Although I was a key advisor in my firm, my wife was my mental advisor. In business, I drew on a modern way of thinking and leading the company taught to me by Mr. Mark Tomko, who instilled in me the idea that I needed to do more for myself.
